Hi, Karen Aicken here with today’s project. As promised with my last post, I have an interactive Spinner Card to share. These cards are also referred to as Slider, Penny Spinner or Penny Slider Cards.
I chose to use the adorable Rubber Ducky die, cutting it out of both patterned paper and white cardstock. I adhered the pieces together so they would be nice and sturdy, then inked the edges. Rubber Ducky slides along the track, spinning around as he goes. His jaunty bow is from the Balloons die set.
1. Cut a 6 x 4-1/2″ panel from white cardstock. Using the clouds from the All Seasons Tree, cut three from the top area of this panel and add a strip of blue patterned paper behind the openings. Ink the cut out clouds and attach over their openings with a double layer of foam tape. Using the Outdoor Edges die, cut a strip of blue patterned paper 6 x 2″ and attach it to the bottom of this panel lining up the bottom and side edges. On the back side of this decorated panel, pencil a line 1″ from the bottom edge.
2. Use the Tab Accessory Die that comes with the Tags and More 2 – Deco to create your track. Cut one from the center, then slide the tab die over to the left and cut again. Continue in this manner until you have your slot/track cut all the way across, leaving 3/4″ uncut on either side. Just remember to overlap your cuts each time you move your die. Trim any uneven edges as you don’t want your slider mechanism to catch.
3. Create a 6.5 x 5″ top fold card from white cardstock. Adhere a 6-3/8 x 4-7/8″ panel of yellow patterned paper. Cut a 6 x 2″ strip of the same blue patterned paper as on the front ‘water’ area of your decorated panel and attach it to the yellow patterned panel. You want it to be seen through the track on your decorated panel for a seamless look.
4. Create your penny mechanism by adhering two round adhesive foam tape circles together with a penny on either side. Add a piece of foam tape to the outside of one penny, which is how you will adhere the Rubber Ducky. Insert the back penny through the track in the center of the decorated panel, bending the panel slightly so it fits in. Test your mechanism to be sure it freely rolls along the track.
5. Attach the Rubber Ducky to the foam tape on the front penny, then add foam tape to the back of the decorated panel Do not add any tape along the track area as you want your penny mechanism to have lots of room.
6. Attach decorated panel to the folded card and have fun sliding and spinning the Rubber Ducky!
7. Use an orange fine point marker or pen to write words above the curve at the water’s edge as shown. Option: Use rubber stamps and stamp the words BEFORE adding tape to the back of the panel and before attaching the panel to the card front.
Spinner Cards are so much fun, both to make and receive. Kids love them! The spinning element can be just about anything and the track can be vertical or diagonal as well as horizontal. Some examples: A balloon floating straight up into the sky, a Karen Burniston Character running up a hill and tumbling back down!
I made my own stencil for this card. I used Soft Gel (Gloss) and Silk Microfine Glitter for a background that’s both shiny and sparkly.
Making the Card
1. Cut an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of white cardstock in half to create two pieces 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. Fold one in half for a card base. Cut a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of blue cardstock in quarters (i.e. four 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch pieces). This will be your snowflake background base.
2. To create your stencil, use other half of the white cardstock; lightly draw lines 1 3/4 inches apart across short part of sheet (3 or 4 rows should suffice). Cut with two smallest Snowflakes dies in an alternating pattern across sheet using lines as guides (keep the snowflakes). Spray back of sheet with Easy Tack or other removable adhesive as per manufacturer’s instructions. This helps the small edges to stick down when applying the gel medium.
3. Using removable tape, tape the edges only (1/8 inch max) of one of the blue pieces of cardstock to a craft sheet or to scrap paper. Line up stencil over blue cardstock as desired and gently press down all edges. Use a palette knife to apply gel medium evenly over stenciled snowflakes.
4. While still wet, lightly sprinkle Silk Microfine Glitter over snowflake areas. I used a combination of Silver and Cool Diamond. For a subtle look, use very little. Carefully peel off stencil. Allow the stenciled sheet to air dry.
5. Erase any pencil lines visible on white snowflake die cuts. Glue 4 or 5 matching layers together to form thick snowflakes (cut more if necessary); make two of each snowflake.
6. Die cut 6 Merry Christmas words from black cardstock; line up and glue all 6 copies together to form a thick stack for each word. Run some temporary adhesive across a piece of scrap paper. Stick the stacked words onto the temporary adhesive, holding the words securely in place. Now tap an embossing ink pad over the words to completely cover them with ink. Add silver embossing powder and use a heat tool to melt and cure the embossing powder. Repeat for a thicker coat. Peel words off of the temporary adhesive. If any edges are sharp or jagged, hold the word with tweezers and re-heat to get embossing powder to dome nicely.
7. Die cut two white banners.
8. Once gel has dried completely on the blue cardstock snowflakes, cut 1/8 inch off each side (final size 4 x 5 1/4 inches).
9. Adhere Merry Christmas, one word per banner (refer to the photo above). Temporarily place them on blue background as shown; mark edge with pencil and trim to fit. Adhere with foam taoe for added dimension.
10. Adhere snowflakes to background as shown, trimming excess. Use dimensional tape to adhere to white card base.
Note: If you are gentle with the stencil you can use it again and again on other sheets of blue cardstock. If it gets damaged, make another one.
Hello Kelly Boothhere. I make several Christmas cards to send out every year so I need to keep them as simple as possible to get them all finished. The card I have to show you today could easily be duplicated and made as multiples.
Here is the card I will be doing today!
The card opens up to reveal a cute little Snowman!
1. Cut a piece of white cardstock 4″1/4″ by 10″ 1/2 and score at the center of the long side at 5″ 1/4″.
2. Place the Evergreen Pivot Card die on the scored fold, lining up the nubs on the die on the fold, and run through your die cutting machine.
3. Using the Snowflake Embossing Folder emboss each side of the card lining it up on the top and leaving an un-embossed edge at the bottom. See photo below:
4. With a piece of white cardstock about 4″ by 5″, cut 1 large, one medium and one small tree using the decorator dies found in the Evergreen Pivot Card set. Place the three trees in the snowflake embossing folder and emboss. Place the trees on each tree on the card using foam tape or pop dots for dimension.
5. Cut a strip of white cardstock 2″ 14″ by 10″ 1/2″ and two strips of Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Double Sided Adhesive the same size. Sandwich the piece of white cardstock between the ECD Double Sided Adhesive by removing the backing and adhering it to each side of the cardstock. Remove one side of the backing and pour Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over it. Polish well with your fingers and shake off the excess. Fold this piece in the center so you know where your fold is.
6. Take the rolling hills die from the Outdoor Edges set and place on one side of the fold and run through your die cutting machine. See photo below:
7. Place the die on the opposite side so the cuts meet and run it through again. You should now have a thin rolling hills strip that has ECD Double Sided Adhesive on the back. Don’t get rid of the negative as you will be using this piece a little later.
8. Remove the adhesive backing and place this at the bottom of the inside of the card staying away from the Evergreen Tree cut out.
9. Take the negative side of the rolling hills and place it on the outside of the card in the same place. Trim off the excess.
10. Stamp Happy Holidays in Aqua on white cardstock. Using the large decorator die and stitched die from the Lorna Label Pop Up, cut out the sentiment so the label is a vertical shape. (Scroll back to see the photo of the front of the project.)
11. Stamp the inside sentiment in a small piece of white cardstock first using Aqua Ink for the wishing you a Merry and Bright, then stamp Christmas below in red. Cut this out using the same dies as used for Happy Holidays, but this time cut it so the label is a horizontal shape.
12. Using foam tape or pop dots place the Happy Holidays label on the front to the right of the tree. Again using foam tape or pop dots place the Merry & Bright greeting to the top right of the inside of the card.
13. Stamp, color and fussy cut the little snowman. Use foam tape or pop dots to adhere him to the lower right hand corner on the inside of the card.
14. Take two small scraps of white cardstock and add a piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Double Sided Adhesive to the front and back of each piece. Remove one layer and on one pour over True Red Silk Microfine Glitter and on the other Solar Gold. Polish well with your fingers and tap off the excess.
15. Using the Red glittered scrap, die cut some ornaments using the ornament dies included in the Evergreen Pivot Card set. Remove the adhesive from the back of each ornament and place ornaments on the large Christmas tree.
16. Using the Gold piece, die cut four stars. Remove the adhesive backing and place one star at the top of each decorator tree (Important: Not the trees that pivot!). Place the 4th star in the hand of the little snowman.

Hello my crafty friends, it’s Raquel Mason here today. I wanted to try something a little different with my card today, so I used non-traditional colors and made a pivot card into a
Z fold pivot card. Let me show you how I made this fun card.
1. Cut a piece of pink cardstock at 5.5 x 12, score at 4″ and 8″.
2. Lay the Evergreen Pivot Card die alignment nubs on the 8″ score line and die cut. See photo below.
3. Die cut the pieces shown in the photo below.
From Evergreen Pivot Card: (1) pivoting portion only from polka dot paper, (3) stars from red polka dot paper and (1) in each size of the three companion trees from green cardstock. Keep the trees in the dies and emboss them using your embossing sandwich then use a marker to trace over the open areas.
From Tags & More 1 – Lace: cut a piece of pattern paper at 3.25 x 4, use the tag die to die cut on both the top and bottom of the pattern paper, and (4) decorative corners .
Cut a piece of pattern paper at 2.75 x 5.5 and score at 1 3/8″.
4. For the front of the card, cut a piece of pattern paper at 4 x 5.25. Thread 6″ of ribbon through the holes on the Tags & More 1- Lace die cut from step 3 then adhere to pattern paper. Fold excess ribbon to the back of pattern paper and adhere panel to center front of card. Tie a bow with leftover ribbon and adhere to the bottom of the tag. Adhere all four decorative corners.
5. From Jackie’s Christmas Dolls in Circle Peel-offs, place doll, holly, tree and reindeer peel-off onto white cardstock that has Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape Sheet on top. Remove release sheet, cover peel-offs with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish glitter with your finger. Color with alcohol based markers then cut out images. Follow Els’ step by step instructions for this technique HERE.
6. Use foam tape to adhere Jackie’s Christmas Dolls image from step 5 to front center of card.
7. Adhere the 2.75 x 5.5 piece of pattern paper from step 3 behind the pivoting portion of the card. Tip: add glue on the card base between the pivoting portion of the trees not on the pattern paper from step 3. See photo below.
8. Adhere die cut pieces from step 3 and peel-offs from step 5 to card, use photo below for placement.

Hi Everyone, it’s Jackie Smith here with todays’s post. With Christmas around the corner,
I decided to make a winter scenic card using the Evergreen Pivot Card and Glitter Deer
Peel-Offs.
Instructions:
1. Cut card base from brown cardstock 6″x 12″. Score and fold in half. Place Evergreen Pivot Card on the score line as in Karen Burniston’s video seen HERE.
2. Cut purple paper 6″x 12″. Score and fold in half. Repeat step one place the Evergreen Pivot Card on the score line and die cut. Cut out tree pivot portion. Adhere inside of your pivot card from step 1.
3. Cut 2 strips of green patterned paper 3/4″x 5 1/2″. Adhere to top of card. Add Transparent/
Gold Glitter Border Peel-Offs.
4. Cut snow (4 times) using Outdoor Edges die from White Velvet Adhesive sheets. Sponge 2 snow edges with Ultramarine blue PanPastel.
5. Cut 3 Christmas trees using companion dies from Green Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Embossed with Bark Embossing Folder. Sponge embossed areas with black StazOn ink pad. Adhere using pop up dots. Cut 2 more Christmas trees using green patterned paper.
6. Adhere the 2 sponged snow edges from step 4 to the inside of the card as shown. Place 2 Deer Peel-Offs op top, one on the left and one on the right. Adhere the 2 green trees cut in step 5 as shown. Adhere the other 2 snow edges on top. Add Snowflake Peel-Offs with one Purple Glitters Dot in the center. Place holly stickers as shown.
7. For the front of the card, cut green patterned paper 6″x 6″. Place Evergreen Pivot Card on the edge of paper with the green side up. Die cut PopUp insert. Cut Evergreen Pivot insert completely using scissors. Adhere with Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape. Add Transparent/Gold Glitter Border Peel-Offs.
8. Place tag sticker. Adhere using pop up dots. Cut Season’s Greetings from Black Velvet Adhesive Sheets. Lay on sticker. Adhere holly stickers and cardinal die cut as shown using pop up dots. Add Purple Glitter Dots Peel-Offs on berries.
Judi Kauffman’s Shimmer Sheetz Bangles were such a hit on the Handmade Holidays Blog Hop that she decided to make a couple more. They’re smashing!
Thank you for inviting me back. I did decide to make another pair of bangles. I used the same embossing folders, Shimmer Sheetz, paint and inks as the ones I made for Handmade Holidays. There is a link to the instructions at the end of this post.
There is only one difference – The faux hinges.
Here’s how to make them:
Put Elizabeth Craft Designs’ NEW Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back of a 2” x 5” piece of alcohol ink-altered Shimmer Sheetz.
Die cut pairs of hinge shapes to decorate the bangles at each “seam” on the bracelet where two strips of Shimmer Sheetz join. The die, which has the look of hardware but could also be used as a label, is part of the Tags & More 2 – Deco set (952).
There are four pairs of hinges on each side of the wider larger diameter bracelet, two pairs on each side of the narrower, smaller diameter bracelet. (If you make a bracelet with only ONE strip of Shimmer Sheetz instead of two strips as shown, you’ll need half as many hinges.)
IMPORTANT TIPS:
The new tape has a strong hold and thin release sheet. It’s a must-have for die cutting Shimmer Sheetz with the tape already on it.
You will need a metal adapter plate. Place the following inside your machine’s usual cutting sandwich – metal adaptor plate, Shimmer Sheetz face up, die template face DOWN so the cutting side is toward the metal plate.
This is a super simple project. I hope you’ll give it a try!
Be sure to make some bangles for yourself as well as for gifts. I always wear two or three at a time and they always garner oodles of compliments. They’re definitely show stoppers.

It’s Frances here. As you can see by the photo above, I’m sharing another Christmas card. There are so many different ways to use the new Tags & More dies that I just need to keep playing with them. For my card today I have used Tags & More 2 – Deco to create a card with a fold at the left side.
Here is how I created my card:
1. Cut a piece of red card so it measures approx 7 1/2 inches x 7 inches (we will be cutting this down so it doesn’t need to be exact). Fold the card in half so it measures 3 1/2 inches x 7 1/2 inches.
2. Position the main tag die from the Tags & More 2 – Deco set so that the left side of the die is beyond the fold line so it doesn’t cut the fold when die cut. Hold in place with some low tack tape and run through your die cutting machine.
3. Use your trimmer to trim down the right hand side of the card so the edge is level with the part of the tag which was cut by the die.
4. Open your folded tag card up and position the decorative overlay from the Tags & More 2 – Deco set so the hole in the overlay lines up with the hole in the tag and the tag shape of the card. Run this through your die cutting machine.
5. Trim the bottom of the tag card so it measures 6 5/8 inches.
6. Open your folded tag card up and place the front of the card into the Sprigs Embossing Folder. Position the card so that the embossing does not cover the decorative top part of your tag card. Emboss using your die cutting machine.
7. Highlight the embossing on the front of the card by sponging over Galaxy Gold Brilliance Ink.
8. Die cut a diamond shape reinforcement from the Tags & More 2 – Deco set from green card and adhere this over the hole on the front of the tag.
9. Cut a piece of white card and a piece of Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape Sheet that are approx 3 1/4inches x 4 inches. Remove the release sheet from one side of the tape sheet and set it aside upside down on your desk (shiny side up). Adhere the Double Sided Tape sheet to the piece of white card.
10. From the Christmas Ornaments Sceneries Peel-Off Stickers remove the Bird Ornament, two Holly Sprigs and the Ribbon. Place your pieces sticky side up onto the release sheet that we set aside earlier.
11. Take your white card and place it with the adhesive side facing down onto the release sheet with the Peel-Offs on it. The Peel-Offs will lift from the release sheet and stick to the adhesive on the card stock.
12. Turn your card so the release sheet is now on top. Take off the release sheet and make sure not to touch the images on the adhesive.
13. Cover the adhesive with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish with your finger. You can see a video Els created using this technique here. Color your images as desired.
14. Cut out all pieces and attach to the middle section of the card as per photo at the top.
15. Cut a piece of white card which is approx 3 inches x 3 1/2 inches. (TIP: I always cut my card slightly bigger than I need so I can trim down when the card is covered with glitter so any blemishes around the edges of the card can be removed.
16. Lay a length of 10 mm Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape diagonally onto the white card as per first photo above. Next lay a length of 3 mm Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape next to the 10 mm piece so it is butted up close. Add an additional length of 3 mm Double Sided Tape next to the first piece. Then lay a piece of 6 mm Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape next to the 3 mm piece. Continue placing the tape onto the card until it is completely covered. Trim excess tape off around the edges of the card. (TIP: You may want to remove some of the excess tape from the edges while you are laying out the tape to make it easier to lift off your work surface when finished cover completely with tape)
17. Randomly remove the protective backing from the covered card and then every third piece of tape after that, being careful not to touch the adhesive you are uncovering. When you have removed the backing from the tape for the first color, cover the adhesive with Soft Green Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off any excess glitter from the card, and polish the glitter on the card before continuing to the next step. (TIP: For Silk Microfine Glitter projects, Elizabeth Craft Designs recommends that you work with the lightest colors first, then the darker ones. This is not a rigid rule but usually produces the crispest and most accurate results. (Remember, if any of the glitter colors get mixed together during the process of polishing one color and then another, keep a separate jar for the random mixture and use it for interesting and unexpected textures.)
18. Remove the protective backing from every third piece of tape next to the Soft Green pieces and this time cover with Forest Green Silk Microfine Glitter. Repeat steps as per step 17.
19. Remove the remaining protective backing from the tape on the card and cover with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter.
20. Trim card so it measures 1 1/2 inches x the width of the tag. (You may want to attach the striped glittered card to the tag and trim off excess width). Reserve any extra striped glittered card for the inside of your card.
21. Use black lines from the Black Lines Peel-Off Stickers to embellish the glittered card. (TIP: Look at your glittered piece and if you have areas that may not have been glittered select these areas to cover with the Line Peel-Off Stickers.
22. Use the Black Ribbon Fantasy Peel-Off Stickers along the top edge of the striped glittered card.
23. Cut a piece of white card that will fit inside of your tag card 3 1/8 inches x 13 inches. Adhere the leftover piece of striped glittered card to the bottom of the white card and then place a piece of Black Ribbon Fantasy Peel-Off Stickers along the top edge of the striped glittered card.
24. Use the Tags & More 2 – Deco die to die cut a piece of dark green card, trim card so it is approx 1 3/4 inches in height and attach to the top of the inside of your card. Place another piece of Black Ribbon Fantasy Peel-Off Stickers along the bottom of the green card.
25. Die cut a star shaped reinforcement piece from red card and adhere over hole of inside of tag card.
26. Using black ink, stamp sentiment in centre of white card.
Debra Hensley here today. November is the month I focus on gratitude a little more in my life. Family, friends, health, happiness, kind gestures – there is so much to say thank you for to the ones we love. What better way than with a thank you card featuring Poppy the Owl perched in his tree surrounded by bright sparkly glitter leaves reflecting the colors of Autumn?!
Here’s how I made this card:
1. Fold a piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ black cardstock in half to form a standard A2 size card. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and adhere inside the card to provide a place to write on.
2. Die cut Poppy the Owl, Thanks and the All Seasons Tree. Assemble Poppy, leaving his wings unattached for a more 3 dimensional look.
3. Cut a piece of Kraft colored cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″. Emboss with the new Bark embossing folder ( my favorite!!). Using the circle and spiral from the Spiral Circle Pull Card die, cut a circle about 1/2 ” from the right edge and 1 1/2 ” from the top. Ink well with brown ink to bring out the embossing.
4. To form a rolled Rose, Clip the outer circle from the Spiral. Using Fine Pointed Tweezers, grab the outer end and roll inward in a tight circle, keeping the bottom edge flush so as not to make a cone. You can also do this with your fingers if you prefer, however the tweezers will give you a tighter center. Once rolled remove tweezers and let the rose loosen naturally. Add a large glue dot to the small end circle of the spiral and adhere to the underside center of the rose to secure.
5. Leaves- Cover a 3 1/2″ x 6 strip of white cardstock with double sided adhesive. Peel off liner. Create a glittered background to adhere the Leaf Peel-Offs to by using a variety of Fall colored glitters to create a “camo” look. Using 4 different colors, sprinkle 3 of the colors in small amounts on the adhesive in a random pattern. Carefully flip over between each color to remove excess, careful not to brush off to the side which will cover the adhesive.
6. Add Soft Green Microfine Glitter over the remaining adhesive to fill in the remaining empty areas. Rub in well for good coverage.
7. Remove excess, polish with your finger to bring up shine and set the glitter in the adhesive. Add Black and Gold Leaf Peel-offs to the glittered panel.
8 Closely trim out leaves. Color the edges with a black marker for a more finished look. Trim the small upper branch from the All Season Tree.
9. To Assemble- adhere Bark piece to card front on foam adhesive. With your fingers curve the Thanks diecut to fit around the upper right edge of the hole and adhere. Adhere the small branch to the upper left corner and the large branch across the bottom of the hole. Add the completed Poppy on foam adhesive to the hole with his feet resting on the branch. Add leaves, using foam adhesive on a few for added interest. Adhere Rose to complete the card front.
10. Stamp an owl on the lower right corner of the white panel inside the card. Using a transfer sheet, add a black and gold leaf negative to the upper left inside to finish.

Hi, it’s Karen Burniston with the November Pop it Ups Designer Challenge. Each month I challenge my Designer Challenge team to use Pop it Ups dies for a specific theme. This month the challenge was to make monochromatic cards using three possible color schemes – all red, all white or all blue. The designers were given the option to mix in some neutrals if needed.
Several of the designers elected to do more than one of the colors and many of them did all three color schemes, so you are in for a treat when you scroll down to their amazing creations.
For my project I wanted to teach a fun technique for doubling the Pivot Card dies. This is a technique that will work with any of the Pivot Card designs and to prove the point, I did three cards (all three color schemes) with three different Pivot Card dies and a video tutorial for each card! (Go me!!!)
For my all-white card I chose to use the Evergreen Pivot Card. Here are some photos of the finished card:
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that I took a white Sharpie paint pen to the silver bows and the glitter dots to add more white accenting on the card.

RED CARDS
Kelly Booth made this crisp Ring Accordion featuring Shimmer Sheetz, embossed accent panels and glittered frame edges.
Karen Aicken used the Spiral Circle Pull Card die plus the Outdoor Edges to make a rich red card and then embellished with a Honey the Bear Character, also cut from red. Adorable!
Fran Sabad chose the perfect combination of red patterns, stamps and the Lorna Label Pop it ups die for this fun Happy Christmas card. An all-red card calls for the man in red!
Frances Byrne chose gold ornament peel-off stickers to accent her all-red card and the results are very rich and elegant. She used the Katie Label Pivot Card and ECD Merry Christmas and Happy New Year dies.
Donna Wright used the Lorna Label pop-up die for the structure of her card and then turned the decorator dies from the Ring Accordion to make the fun ornaments. The combination of different red tones and patterns is so festive!
Caz Counsell made this card for Remembrance Sunday, coloring a single red poppy in the stamp. The Lorna Label pop-up die is perfect for any occasion since it is completely generic.
WHITE CARDS
Caz Counsell shows off Honey the Bear styled as a glittery polar bear for her all-white card. She cleverly pressed the “Happy” die from the Happy Birthday pop-up into the cardstock using a silicone mat underneath so it would only emboss, not cut. How clever!
Frances Byrne has combined textures perfectly on this all-white Spiral Circle Pull Card with glittery snowflakes. So elegant and beautiful!
Fran Sabad used the Evergreen Pivot Card with the tripling technique for this beautiful all-white card. I love her combination of different embossed patterns for texture.
Helen Cryer has many amazing skills and crafting in all white is clearly one of them. This wonderland of white layers is amazing. She used the Evergreen Pivot Card, but also the Clouds Embossing Folder, Holiday House and Outdoor Edges.
Karen Aicken also used the Evergreen Pivot Card but chose to use an embossing folder on the trees instead of the built-in embossed texture. Her striking glitter dot snowflakes and patches of glitter make for a sparkly elegant scene.
Kelly Booth combined the Clouds Embossing Folder with the Oval Clouds Frame Edges on this wintry Oval Accordion card. Her use of white Shimmer Sheetz is fun, as they catch the light in interesting ways. Poppy the Owl, Evergreen Pivot Card and Outdoor Edges completed the scenery.
Raquel Mason did something very cool with the Holiday House die for her all-white card . . . she remodeled and enlarged it! Who doesn’t need a bigger house for the holidays? The die used for her pop-up is the Lucy Label and she also embellished with the Agatha Edges.
Shelly Hickox made this stunning 3-page Circle Accordion with Square w/Circle Frame Edges and then suspended little 3D Evergreens in the outer panels. Wow!
Summer Hills-Painter made this vision of shimmery loveliness using the Happy Birthday Pop it Ups die and the Trendy Tiles 2 Embossing folder.
BLUE CARDS
Fran Sabad made this wintry vision of a Birthday card combining the Garden Bench, a snowy All Seasons Tree, and the script Happy Birthday dies arranged along a curved edge. So pretty!
Caz Counsell used her clever idea for pressing dies into the cardstock instead of cutting them to make a flower border for the left side of her card. This Katie Label Pivot Card is perfect in its simplicity.
Frances Byrne is the master of mixed accordions. Here she has combined two Circle Accordion pages with a Fancy Accordion page and used the dots Frame Edges for each respective page. I love how she swaps the light/dark colors when she does this. She also used the Crystal Flowers dies – gorgeous!
Helen Cryer made this vision of loveliness using the Butterfly Pivot Card and the Butterfly Accessory dies. She really captured the movement with her layers of butterflies. So pretty!
Karen Aicken created one of my favorite all-time KA cards with this blue winter scene. She used the doubling technique with the Lorna Label die and then filled in with wintry All Seasons Tree and a blue-silver Dutch the Fox.
Kelly Booth used the Evergreen Pivot Card for her all-blue card and used Shimmer Sheetz for the decorator pieces. She mentions in her blog post that this design is easily reproducible for multiples. It’s very striking!
Raquel Mason crafted the perfect card for when you’re feeling “blue” and missing someone. She placed her blue Honey the Bear on the Garden Bench die and embellished with clouds from the All Seasons Tree.
Sandy Diller is guest designing again this month and made this super fun all-blue double Spiral Circle Pull Card featuring the gears from the Clock and Gears die and Hoppy the Frog, complete with gear eyes! Check out her blog post for a tutorial.

This is Rita Edwards here. For as long as I can remember my sister has been supporting nonprofit organizations. This year she asked if I would create two cards for her Secret Santa outreach. Knowing about the person who will receive them is always a great way to start card projects. When I found out that my cards would go to children who are blind the challenge became a bit different: To create cards that can be experienced with the sense of touch. I started with my favorite colors, but made the final selections with my eyes closed, picking papers that felt soft, smooth, and interesting to my fingers (Velvet Adhesive Sheets in the mix, of course!). The spiral and all the snowflakes make this a perfect card for anyone who is vision impaired, as well as everyone who can see it.

This is how you can create your very own Spiral Circle Pull cards:
1. Cut patterned cardstock at 9″ wide x 5 5/8″ high, score and fold in half. Align the center tabs of the Spiral Circle Pull Card main die on the center fold of the cardstock and die cut.
2. Die cut 2 smaller circles from pattern cardstock using the smaller Circle Accessory die included in the same set.
3. Die cut 2 spirals from pattern cardstock using the Circle and Spiral Accessory die. Place spiral die inside circle die and run them through your die cutting machine at the same time.
4. Using the snowflake dies from the Spiral Circle Pull Card set, the snowflakes from the All Seasons Trees set and the Snowflakes die set, die cut several snowflakes from white cardstock, Light Blue Velvet Sheet and Turquoise Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz. You can use some scrap pieces too, the more variety the better, set aside. The photo below will show you all of the pieces for our snowflake decorations.
5. Using the Agatha Edges die set, trim the vertical edge of both card bases.
6. Using the illustrations as a handy guide on both Dutch the Fox and Chilly the Penguin packaging, die cut the fox body, legs and nose plus the penguin’s body overlay from Black Adhesive Velvet Sheet. Using White Adhesive Velvet Sheet, die cut the penguin’s body and eyes and the fox’s eyes, tail, chest and face. Using the Beige Adhesive Velvet Sheet, die cut the penguin’s feet, scarf and beak plus the fox’s body overlay. As you will see, everything lines up wonderfully. The photo below will show you all of the pieces for our characters.
7. Assemble both Chilly and Dutch.
8. Adhere spirals cut in step 3 to the inside of each card by first adhering the outside spiral to the back if the center circle. Then add a small glue dot at the back side of the spiral in the center, close the card and press down securely to attach the other end of the spiral to the inside of the card.
9. Adhere circles cut in step 2 to the center circle of each card using foam adhesive. Adhere Chilly and Dutch in the center on their own card.
10. Adhere snowflakes to both cards using the different die cuts to create a winter wonderland where it can snow all year long.
