Hi everyone, it’s Sandy Diller here today to share a fun Pop it Ups card I made for my hubby. Poor guy has the flu.
Directions for this card are given as it appears. It is an A2 card (4.25″ X 5.5″)
Using Die #909 Hoppy the Frog:
- 1 green Hoppy the Frog body
- 1 black shadow layer
- 1 set of eyes, white – using ECD double sided adhesive on the back
- 3 green lily pads and 3 pink lily pads
- 4 black bugs
Using Die #949 Props 2:
- 1 pink noise maker
Using ECD Soft Finish Cardstock PSF 131 – Soft Sky
- 1 – 4.25″ X 11″ panel scored at center
- 1 – 4.5″ X 2.5″ panel, rounded at top edge (see photo below) for pond
Die #790 Get Well Soon – 1 blue Get Well Soon
- 1 – 1.5″ X 3.5″ panel for inside, not shown
Using Die #781 All Seasons Tree
- Stamp or computer generate the phrase “Caught a bug!” and cut using clouds
Using ECD Soft Finish Cardstock PSF138 Olive Twist
- 1 – 4″ X 11″ panel, scored at center
Die #914 Outdoor Edges – 1 strip of grass
Die #114 Fitted Ovals – 1 green lily pad
Using coordinating paper cut 1 – 2″ X 2″ square for tissue box creased at center
Card Front –
Fold card base with color to the inside – working with white front panel.
Add grass strip to rounded blue edge of pond.
Attach to cloud panel and add to card front.
Cut leaves away from pink lily pads and add on top of the green lily pads. Cut bump from noise maker.
Assemble Hoppy the Frog and add noise maker as his tongue. If you are not sure how to assemble Hoppy, Karen Burniston has a fantastic how-to video you can watch.
An Action Wobble was used on this card (behind Hoppy) but it is completely optional.
Add large green lily pad to pond and place Hoppy on lily pad.
Arrange lily pads and bugs; add clouds using pop dots.
Card interior –
Fold green panel with color to the inside, using Die #782, Agatha Edges, trim top and bottom of panel.
Open green panel, using Die #778 Lots of Pops – cut in center lining die up the center with the crease.
Cut a hole in center of tissue box for a small piece of tissue. Die #1109 Oval Pull Card was used here.
Add Green panel to card base lining up center cease.
Popping out only the center section of the Lots of Pops, add square piece to form tissue box.
Add “Get Well Soon” to top section. Add greeting panels and bug to lower section. Insert small piece of tissue through hole.
