Hello Crafty Friends! I am very excited to share a project using one of the newly released Elizabeth Craft Designs dies designed by the lovely Suzanne Cannon. This card is super easy to make and perfect to mass produce for Christmas. Also, the card can use some of those scrap pieces of paper you have stored in a bin for a future project. (woo-who!) The papers do not all have to be Christmas patterned papers, either. The card sample today only used one Christmas patterned paper and the beautiful Noel did the rest! Let’s get started!
Have you seen all the new die sets in the Joset Designs Collection? Good Morning. This is Selma today. The card I designed for you is created with the new Joset Designs Skate die set. I have also used the new Small Poinsettia from Susan’s Garden Notes, Whitepine Bough & Pinecone dies, Berry Branch, and the the new A Way With Words NOEL. Here is how the card was created.
Snowflake Cards
August 18, 2016Hi everyone, Sanna here again today to share a set of Snowflake Cards with you. I know that it is a bit early for winter themed cards, but the minute I saw the Brrrr-sentiment die I had to make something fun with it. Here are a few ideas on how to use the same dies in different ways.
Hi and welcome, it’s Sandy Diller here today. We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Europe where we took lots of photos. We visited so many beautiful places and noticed other people taking photos as well. Some were serious photographers and some were so funny as they posed for their selfies. Jinks the Monkey is joining the rest of the tourists today and snapping a selfie.
You’re So Sweet Macarons Card
August 16, 2016Hi Everyone,
I’m very excited to be showing you a card using one of my new designs, the Macarons. I love this French specialty made out of two meringue cookies and a sweet cream filling. They come in so many delicious flavors and I haven’t had one that I didn’t love. In the small town where I live there is no place that sells this cookie but luckily a neighboring town does, so every now and then I treat myself to one. This delicious cookie was the inspiration for the die set and the card that I am sharing today. Let’s get started!
Hello everyone, it’s Annette Green from the Susan’s Garden Club Design Team here today to share a special birthday card for my Mom. I was in the mood for fall, so I created a flower pot filled with fall flowers. Garden Notes ‘Potted’, ‘Marigold’ and ‘Aster’ are brand new dies from the Summer 2016 release!
Check out Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s video tutorial on the Garden Notes Aster HERE.
Gingerbread Man Topiary Tree Cards
August 14, 2016Gingerbread Man Topiary Tree Cards
By Judi Kauffman
I’m back as today’s guest designer with a project that takes the new Joset Designs Gingerbread Man die in an unexpected direction: As a shape for topiary* trees. Did you know that one of Santa’s elves is a gardener when he’s not getting ready for the holidays? Well, that’s how I imagine it…
These cards are designed for someone blind or with impaired vision, as well as for the sighted. For those who ‘see’ by the sense of touch, the textures tell the story: Shimmer Sheetz, a wooden stir stick, felt, Velvet Adhesive Sheets, cork, woven and knotted seam tape, layered rectangles made of heavy cardstsock. I shut my eyes as a test and was able to figure out everything but the greeting, though I think I would have had a tough time with the leaves if I hadn’t already known what they were. (*Dictionary definition – “Topiary: The art or practice of clipping shrubs or trees into ornamental shapes.”
A Way With Words – New Merry Christmas
August 13, 2016Hello!! It’s Wanda here today and I’m super excited to be sharing a project using the brand new Merry Christmas from the A Way With Words line by designer Suzanne Cannon. Christmas will be here in a flash and it’s not too soon to start those cards!!! I’m also using the new CountryScapes Fence and, of course, some old favorites. I love how the glittery swirls on this background make me think of a snowy day in winter.
Live, Laugh, Love
August 12, 2016Hi and welcome. It’s Sandy Diller here today sharing a fun home décor wall panel. I love mixed media and this was the perfect opportunity to get my hands a little messy and use my dies in a different way. I used lots of Shimmer Sheetz, fun foam, dies and gesso to create this panel. Hope you enjoy and will give it a try.
Hi there! It’s me Riikka from the Paperiliitin blog here guesting again! This time I created two pages for the post using the same idea. The first page is about my younger daughter and the second one about a workshop trip.
