Such great card ideas. I really love the Kaleidoscope background and all the different ways the designers used it. So Awesome! Thank you for showing the great talent you have on your team
I like the Abstract background and would use it to make a Valentines card.
Great background ideas! It is always interesting how changing the color changes the look. I also need to look at my non-background dies for ideas to use as backgrounds. ECD has lots of great backgrounds. A favorite of mine is the Chevron Background. It will soon be time to be pulling out the Heart Background.
Beautiful cards and lots of ideas.I would use the abstract die.
I love the Kaleidoscope Background and all of the designers used it so differently. If I didn’t have that one I would use the snowflake dies to create a background. They are so lovely this time of year.
I really like all of these backgrounds. I would like to try the Kaleidoscope background. It reminds me of a favorite quilt pattern!
I really liked all of the cards. I would use the Kaleidoscope background. It reminds me of a favorite quilt pattern!
I would use the abstract die, I like the quilted look.
Fabulous card ideas!! Of the ECD dies/stamps that I already own,
I would use ‘Lovebirds’ as a BG, using two cuts of which one to be
cut into pieces to add to the first cut. I would do a tone on tone and
maybe some sparkle. Then just add a sentiment!
The Geometric Die would make a beautiful background.
I would go with the Geometric die and some of the amazing techniques showcased here. Lovely!
So many inspiring creations! Each one is so unique and creative! I would love to try the Kaleidoscope Background die to create some fun backgrounds! Thanks so much for the chance to win!
These are all so beautiful but I am leaning toward the Abstract background. It reminds me of a quilt pattern and I especially love the framed piece by Katelyn. Using multiple colors and blending them give such a gorgeous hand-dyed look!
All of them. I love, love, love all of your products.
I love background dies! Yours are terrific and I have a hard time picking just one – I probably would use the Kaleidoscope the most since it’s so versatile for any occasion card. Thanks or all the great ideas!f
I love all the background dies but I would also like to try stamping all over with the “Plant, grow, bloom” or “Valentines” stamp. I’ve been thinking also about an entire background of Penguins!
Love all the gorgeous cards the designers made, thank’s for all this inspiration.
Most of the time I use a stencil or stamp to create a background but I love most the Kaleidoscope Background Die.
Love Love Love the bright colors. I am a bright person and like my cards to shine. What a wonderful job done with all the colors and cards.
Love all the inspiration here! The one I would choose that I don’t own yet is the Abstract Background Die…Wow!
I have the geometric background and I like it alot. I use the microfine glitter, but I’m still learning how to deal with it. I love my penguins stamp , Virgil the pig, and the same style dog die! The Butterfly is Proof stamp and dies is georgious, and I loved making a card with the Bathtub pop stand. Oh and the Garden Notes Fairy is adorable, too. They’re all my favorites. I can’t pick!!
All of cards are so creative and adorable! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Thanks so much for all the great ideas. I really enjoy using the circles die as a background and then incorporating the cut out circles in the design as well.

I am inspired by your card designs. I am going to try an abstract design die cut on double stick paper and covering it with fine glitter. I love glitz and glitter.
These cards are such a visual treat! I especially like the Abstract Background die and would like to use it for a white on white card.
The idea of using negative space as Frances did is very intriguing. I’m going to give it a try and see what I come up with. Merry Christmas everyone!
I love the Abstract background die. It’s so versatile!
I like using your Geometric background die with Susan’s Garden flowers . They just compliment each other so nicely. I think your circle background die would also be fun to try with things, but do not have that as of yet. LOL
I like using word stamps such as the Celebrate stamp for backgrounds. Can be used for several different occasions, then popping the die cut greeting on top. All the designers’ cards are gorgeous and the circle background die is one of my favorites.
I would use the berry branch as a stencil or white on white in the background.
Happy Holidays! They are all lovely cards, and it is difficult to choose just one background. I think I would like to try the Abstract Background. Thank you for all the ideas!
Beautiful cards, what a great inspiration this challenge offers! I think I have the entwined circles, so I definitely going to try it.
Other dies I want to use are the geometric background, the abstract background and the circle background.
I also like the idea using stamped words as background. Have to have a few stamps now!!
I am not sure anymore which die I have with the circles…
Oh boy I have to go to my craft room and try some of the ideas I’ve seen.
Any of the word stamps would be great for a background. The hat from the fashion set or the bugs would be very fun to use. Almost anything could be used when you start looking at the stamps and dies in a different way. All the cards posted today really opens your eyes up to it. And they are all so nice! Thanks for the chance to win a GC. Merry Christmas!
I will use Abstract background, circle background, kaleidoscope background and geometric background. I will also love to use the sentiment stamps 1 and 2. They are so amazing!!!
These cards are beautiful, I would love to make them.
From luscious colors to fab dimension these backgrounds are a treat to the eyes!
Great ideas for using background dies and stamps. Thanks for always inspiring us.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays everyone. Hope you have some time to do what you love over the holidays — most likely crafting. 🙂
I would use Kaleidoscope. I love the mandala look of that die. Thanks for all the lovely samples!
So many great choices. I like the circle background. It can be used with cupcakes, flowers, balloons, butterflies and so much more.
I often use the Lace Corner and the Lace Pocket dies for backgrounds. I love the elegance and simplicity. I also use the Lace Corner die for cards that I’m using to send a check or money. I place the corner at the top right and one on the bottom left to ‘hold’ the check/cash secure. It’s such a simple, yet elegant card design. I just love the die.
Fabulous cards. I would use the Geometric die for a background.
Great ideas for using background dies and stamps. Thanks for always inspiring us.
Merry Christmas. What Elizabeth die or stamps set would I use for the background? HMmmmmm now that is easy. I would adapt any die or stamp to suit the occasion as all of them can be used in one way or another. Be ita flower or leaves or sentiment stamps, stamped in clusters or scattered. Large die or small dies cu or modified to fit the card.
Annamieke from Kawerau
Love the Abstract or Geometric background dies. So many great ideas! Where do we start??? Thanks for all of the great inspiration & a chance to win!

Background die.

Kaleidoscope is my favorite background. You can do so much with it to make it look different everytime!
The Abstract, Geometric, and Kaleidoscope dies would be my pick for backgrounds. They could be inked up to look pretty cool.
I like to use natural things for my backgrounds, like flowers, bugs, and trees. I would like to try geometrics for backgrounds, but need follow what others have done since it’s not my usual.
P.S. the ones I would probably use from Elizabeth Craft Designs would be: Leafy branch, Bugs and Butterflies, and Pair of leaves. Stamps look great as backgrounds, but I’ve also been following your blog and like how your ladies use die cuts for backgrounds, too. I would like to try them.
It is a toss up between kaleidoscope and abstract. I have been doing a lot of stained glass and mosaic designs and either of those would work
all very intersting designs,,colors really give it different light
I would use all of the backgrounds…favorite would be Abstract Background Die with Various Foliage Dies, Love In The Mist Die, Butterfly Dies, Sentiment Dies, /round and Oval Entwined Dies, Round and Oval “Lacy” Dies, Moda Lacy Dies to create my pieces of 3-D works of art. One main background die altering color mediums, cardstock, glitter, double sided adhesive tapes/sheets, shimmer sheetz….Skies The Limit In What One Can Create….WooHoo! Love ECD Design Dies. Great Job ECD Sesign Team and Staff! Looking forward to what’s to come in 2018! Well Done ECD! So Blessed to have found ECD…one of my favorites! <3
I tend to use stamps as my backgrounds. I would like to use Spring Blooms, Ladybug Quartet, and Bugs and Butterflies. I guess I am thinking of spring already 🙂
It would be a toss up between the kaleidoscope and anstract die for me. I have been doing a lot of mosaic and stained glass looks and those would definitely fit the bill
I use the mitten dies. First I die cut out the mittens in different color Cardstock then I die cut the mittens in a random design on white Cardstock.
I love the cards with the abstract background, there are so many variations that it can be used for.
Have a happy and healthy Christmas
I like using the sentiment as a background. I forget to do that and it looks nice on the examples shown. I’ll try it next week during break!
I love these pretty background ideas! The Geometric Background is my choice for a die cut background, and I’d love to use the Birch Forest Clear set of stamps for a birch tree background!
Love them all but the kaleidoscope really appeals
I would love to use the Sweet Vintage rose as a light background (or in the corners) and then a great sentiment on the bottom right corner with a ribbon underneath it. I just love that stamp set…it looks realistic 🙂
These backgrounds are outstanding. I like all of them but my favorite would be Kelly’s 2nd one with the Abstract Background and Garden notes Poinsettia.
So many beautiful samples to be inspired by! The Geometric and Kaleidoscope backgrounds are really cool.
I love your card ideas and have enjoyed using your dies and embossing folders. I really liked the abstract background with Garden notes/poinsettia and the Snowman Gifts.
I would use the Kaleidoscope background or the Abstract background. The DT samples were fabulous. I love the inspiration I get from their creativity.
So many great ideas! I think using the sentiment stamps as a background on the diagonal is something I would lik to try.
The background on these cards are so fabulous!!! Each card is unique and shows how versatile the dies can be whether it’s cutting it out or using it embossed. Love it!
I love the abstract backgrounds
The cards are wonderful. I think I would like using the Entwined ovals #1253 for a background or focal point. You can do
so many embellishments with it as the base. Thanks, J.
Awesome cards as usual! I really love the kaleidoscope and geometric background! It would be fun to make mosaics or stained glass window cards!
All of the cards are beautiful but if I could pick only one background to create a card I would pick the abstract background die. Thanks for all the beautiful products, I love everything I purchase from Elizabeth Crafts.
If I had them I would use the Geometric and Abstract dies for backgrounds, but adore the Kaleidoscope one too. Absolutely lovely cards, all of them.
I really like the Kaleidoscope Background. The dies are all fantastic.
Love all the examples – great work! I think the abstract background would be a great versatile piece. It can be used in so many ways and I love the look!
Absolutely AWESOME cards ladies! I would use the Geometric Background if I had it!
Abtract and kaleidoscope background dies also the circle heart background dies too
I like your Kaleidoscope background die. I think I would use it with the stiched circle die with a snowman from I think it was the Christmas and gift stamp set. I like a stamp that I can color with copies in the circle then distress edges prior to attaching it to the background. Thanks, Debbie DeCamp
I would take the Ornate Snowflake dies I just purchased and use them to emboss my background and watercolor them.
Nice cards. I really like how the sentiment 1 stamps worked as a background.
So much wonderful inspiration today! I would love to work with the Kaleidoscope die….I could lots of creative fun with it making backgrounds. Happy holidays!
I love all these beautiful cards. It is so hard to pick just one die or stamp background, but I will have to say I would love to work with the Kaleidoscope die.
All the creativity in your people continue to amaze and inspire me. Thank you.
Love all the card ideas.. I am really loving the Kaleidoscope Background so that would be my choice i just love the look of the mosaic and that is what it reminds me of
