It’s Karen here today with a fun card using the Cacti Clear Stamps and Coordinating Dies. This is a great versatile set!
Here are the steps to replicate the card:
Step 1. From 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a rectangle measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″; score at 5-1/2″ and fold in half to create a top-fold card base.
Step 2. Cut a piece of patterned paper from The Beautiful Season 6×6 Paper Collection at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the card front. Also die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Rainbow Bark 6×6 Paper Collection using the Dashing Rectangles dies. Finally, cut the green diagonal stripe at 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″.
Step 3. Layer the patterned paper as shown in the picture above and wrap some lace and green seam-binding ribbon around the card front. Adhere this to the card base.
Step 4. With permanent black ink, stamp the cactus, iguana and flowers from the Cacti Stamps. Die cut with the coordinating dies. (I fussy cut the three flowers as I wanted them separate…)
Step 5. Color the images with Copic Markers. I used YG61, YG63, YG67, E55, E57, E93, E95, YR24, and YR27. Add a little Nuvo drops for the flower centers.
Step 6. Die cut two sizes of the Stitched Hexagon dies from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Stamp Happy Birthday from the General Sentiments Clear Stamps on the smaller octagon. Adhere both to the card front, the larger using pop-tape.
Step 7. Add the cactus to the larger octagon using pop-tape. Glue the flowers and iguana on as shown in the card using Kids Glue.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Craftily yours,
Karen
