Hello my friends, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. I live in Arizona so it is still hot here but I love the colors of fall (orange is my fav) so I ignore the heat and pretend it’s a cooler fall day. Today’s card is filled with fall colors and some very cute images both old and new.
This is a 9″ X 4″ slimline card so the measurements start out as 9″ X 8″ scored down the center of the 8″ side.
The front panel is 3.75″ X 8.75″.
To start out I used some white Soft Finish Cardstock and did a little color blending using the colors of fall. The original plan was to have a horizontal slimline card but as things progressed it turned into a vertical one.
Some silver stars were added using a stencil and some embossing paste. I always love the results of this method but sometimes forget about it. It is good way to get dimension and add interest to any card.
After cutting a couple grass strips and adding some ink the base was ready to go.
I used Joset’s Pumpkin die – cutting it from white and then coloring it. You can cut this one from colored cardstock as well. If you are a long time ECD fan you will recognize the other pumpkin from long ago. I still love it. Using the Cat die set I cut out and assembled my black cat. I used some parts from the Fox die set to make the paws as I wanted some that were larger than the ones in the Cat die set. The eyes are Craft Drops that I let dry and then colored with a marker.
The Hello Pumpkin banner is from an older set that has been discontinued. You may notice that the banner on the finished card is different from the one shown above . I was not happy with the color so simply stamped another one from white and edged it with some green.
Some of the elements were added to the front panel and then the entire thing was edged in black. Once the project was at this point some leaves, a spooky tree and another pumpkin were added.
Thanks for stopping by – have a creative week,
