Stinking Cute Skunk

March 2, 2022

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here.
A while ago, I was experimenting with different characters that can be made with the dies that I already have. Today I want to share with you an easy way to create a skunk using the Beaver and Squirrel die sets. Let me show you how I made it.

Instructions:
Using the Squirrel Die, cut tail piece from black cardstock and one from white cardstock. Additionally, cut the squirrels nose from light pink cardstock. For the rest of the body, use the Beaver die set. Cut two heads. Cut the body, legs, arms, ears, and inner eye pieces from black cardstock. Cut the tummy, outer eyes, and inner ears from white cardstock

For the skunk tail stripe, use the white tail piece, cut along the center impression line

Adhere the cut white tail piece to the black tail piece

For the skunk stripe on the face, cut along the section of pointy hair and guide down creating a “V”

trim off the pointed tip of the white stripe and adhere to the black diecut face

Adhere the nose at the end of the white stripe

Assemble the body of the skunk as you would assemble the beaver. Adhere the eyes to the head. adhere both the head and tail to the body

Adhere the eyes to the head. adhere both the head and tail to the body

Add a touch of clear glaze pen to the eyes and nose. Create a mouth using a white gel pen

Adhere the ears to the head. Add white gel pen accents to the eyes, and that completes the Skunk die cut.
