Flow album

June 17, 2021

Hello paperlovers!

This time I used the a Dutch magazine “Flow” in my planner. This “book for nature lovers” was perfect for that. I used a combination of dies from the Planner, Sidekick and Art-journal collection.

The Flow contains many paper extras that I have scattered here and there in this planner. What I’m going to use this planner for I don’t know yet but it was just fun to play with the dies and the paper. Sometimes I added some sentiments. Photos of the garden will probably be added later, because this paper lends itself perfectly for that.

I hadn’t used this die set in a long time and it is so much fun. Voilà, here he is again.

And I almost forgot about this die set. There are so many new and fun products on the market from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner collection, too many to list! Sometimes it is useful to browse through your collection and then you suddenly come up with ideas.

I used a different color for all 4 seasons where the paper also comes from a different designer. Furthermore I have always repeated the layout but always made a different special pages in it. The envelopes contain all ready-made cards that were included in the magazine. Handy if you want to send a card.

I had already shown this page made with the Phone Booth die set. I love it!!! It is a pity that all those beautiful telephone booths have disappeared from the streets, especially this English one ofcourse. Recently I saw on T.V. in a nostalgic English village such an old telephone booth has been transformed into a neighborhood library. So cute and the books were kept nice and dry. Really nice to give it a new function like this.

This was my post for today, maybe you also have an old or new magazine somewhere that you’ve always wanted to do something with. Or how about an old picture book? Then this is of course a super nice idea. I hope you’re inspired by this post. If you want to see more pictures from the pages that I created, make sure to visit my blog HERE.

See you next time!

Sadie’s Page

June 16, 2021

Karen here today. I’ve started a NEW Sidekick Planner to journal a somewhat new relationship. Today’s post is about my guy’s sweet dog. (Yes, I’m dog-obsessed!) Sadie is an almost 80 lb pittie mix, black with some white paws and other markings. I used / modified the Dog die to add a fun embellishment for Sadie’s page.

I used the Sidekick Essentials 1 for a base, and I used the gorgeous Rainbow of Happiness Paper. To that, I added a strip of black denim ribbon. Then I used a couple sizes of the Fitted Circles Dies. On the top die, I used that FuN sentiment from the Pieces of Life 4 – Retro Stamps. On the bottom circle, I put an ADORABLE picture of Sadie. On the top of her picture, I added a heartbeat die from Sidekick Essentials 1. So sweet. The letters are from Planner Essentials 23. And, of course, I had to add some reinforcements. These little circles are from the Reinforcement Variety Pack 1.

How fun is the back of this page!? I kept the back pretty simple with a strip of several pictures of the adorable Sadie and a wee bit of journaling. I also added the little hearts from the Sidekick Essentials 2 set.

For the Dog die, I wanted to create a black dog with some white marks and white paws. (The white is 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock!) I cut 8 of the “legs” – 4 in black and 4 in white. I fussy cut just the tips of the white ones to make white paws. I also used one of the white spots to create a white chest for the adorable dog. And some google eyes! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen

Sometimes we all need…a little magic

May 14, 2021

Wouldn’t you like that, too? A little magic, or help in the household? Well, I do. But with a good schedule it also saves a lot of time and energy. This time I adapted to what I can do and distributed the work throughout the day and the week. This way I also have energy left over for my hobby.

I love Esther’s beautiful paper so I went to work with the Reminiscence the book 2.

I made the basics with Planner Essentials 4. The edges got a lick of distress ink but I didn’t do anything about it. With Sidekick Essentials 8, I made a pocket that could hold a mini-book. I adhered it at the edges so there’s another ticket behind it. On the left corner I used another stamp from the CS134 Retro labels set. Below that, I made a trifold page with the Puzzle page from the new Art Journal collection. I only adhered it to the edges. He’s dressed with a “note for myself.” But first coffee! For that I used the dies from the Sidekick Essentials 4. Next to it I used a stamp from the fountain pen CS216 art journal chick that refers like an arrow to the coffee cup. I colored the pen using the watercolor palette.

In the pocket I made a mini-booklet with a page for every day. The days of the week I made with the Sidekick Essentials 3 set and for the tags I used Planner Essentials 26. For the narrow one I cut of a little trip on both sides. On the small tag I adhered Mary Poppins and on the big tag Bert. These ones are from a set called “the park” by Tim Holtz.

Mary Poppins stands for magic for me and Bert for a little help if necessary. I wrote the text with a stencil….no, my handwriting is really not that beautiful!!! The minibook received a stamp from the CS130 Bullet Journaling 3 set on each page.

The page is finished with reinforcements from Planner Essentials set 22. For the strip of arrows I used Planner essentials 14.

Now I have to fill everything in but I’m sure you’re not interested in my household schedule hihi. Otherwise…… I’d love to hear it. Honestly, this fröbelen was much more fun than that household but secretly I enjoy it enormously when my house is nice and clean. Maybe I should look for a little “Magic” or a help in the household?

Hope you find a little bit of magic for your household and a little inspiration by my page.

With love,

Marjolijn.

Easter

April 15, 2021

It’s going so fast this year, the days, weeks are flying by. Unfortunately no family Easter brunch this year, last year also not, I do miss it. Luckily it is also very cozy together with the children and we had a very nice Easter party.

It has become a double page again, which I like best for an overview.

Here the flaps are closed, I love these pages!

For the right page I used the Sidekick Essentials 10, around which I folded the wave pocket page, also from the sidekick collection. The large pocket is on the back, which I can use for a next overview. The sentiment “Happy Easter” I made with the alphabet from the Art collection. And Oliver (Tim Holtz) finishes this page. In the pocket there are 2 tags with photos and journaling.

The left page is made with the Sidekick Essentials 11 set. Behind the photo are some bunnies (Tim Holtz) and also one on the photo. I adhered the picture on the page before I put the reinforcements on it. That’s all this page needed.

I made the tags with the tag die from Planner Essentials 11. I like them oh so much! And that sweet bunny is an older Elizabeth Craft Designs die. Unfortunately no longer available but still so nice!! Especially………

That bun of the bunny…look how cute :-). This is the back of the tags with even more photos and journaling.

Both Oliver and the bunny are colored with watercolor paint.

Hope you are a bit inspired by this page,

With love,

Marjolijn.

The Good Life – Seed Packet Mini Album

March 22, 2021

Hello Friends and welcome! It is Karan here to share a project I designed using the new Sidekick Release. For those who know how much I love albums, I also love to create mini albums too.

This one is designed using the Seed Packet Die from Sidekick Essentials 16.

To begin with I cut the seed pack out five times using paper from 49 and Market. I cut vellum to go on the inside of the packet for the window. I cut out extras thinking I might make the album larger but ended up going with 5 packets instead of 8.

Then I assembled them.

I then cut the side panel from the same sidekick set and created the pages and continued to decorate them. I love tags and cut out a tag for each page just as an added layer and photo mat for some of my photos. This tag was cut from Planner Essentials 2, which I also cut to go inside each opening of the Seed Packet page. I am going to share images from this little mini and then add the dies I used below. Hope you enjoy this mini project.

And then details for the cover:

I cut doubles for the large floral and the medium size floral for the cover, two sets of leaves and then I used the skeleton leaf from the Sidekick Essential 16 set. Ii love how the florals shape so beautifully.

I hope that I inspired you to create a mini album using this Seed Pocket Set. It makes a perfect little mini album.

Until Next time

Happy Scrapping!
