Bright Sunflower Wishes

October 19, 2023

Rajni Chawla Here!! Back again on Elizabeth Crafts Design blog to inspire you with beautiful bright and sunny Sunflowers from the latest Seasonal Classic Collection. This collection is outstanding and the florals and foliage have taken my heart away. I have been always a big fan of Sunflowers and these are completely exceptional. I have been playing with Floral 26 a lot these days. You can look for more inspiration on my Instagram page here.

For the backdrop, I have created a grungy textured background and prepared a white and gold window to display the handmade flowers. The window is created using the beautiful die from the Book Box die set and Stitched Indented Rectangle die set. The sentiment tag is prepared using the Everyday Elements die set and Layered Labels 1

I have mixed and matched the foliage from various die sets. Like Floral 25, Floral Greenery 1, and Pine Cones

To add more beauty to the bright sunflowers and to make them pop from the grungy background, I added a few daisies which I created using Floral 9

The Witching Hour

October 16, 2023

Hello everyone, Jackie here. With Halloween just around the corner I thought I would share a spooktacular fun card with you all. The monster collection is one of my favourites and this little monster has been turned in to a pumpkin monster!

Step One:

Cut a panel of patterned paper measuring 3.75 x 5″ (9.52 x 12.7cm) and pop it up on to a top folding A2 (42 x 59.4cm) card blank using 3d foam pads. Die cut or scissor cut a circle of vellum that fits neatly on the panel and fix in place with a few pieces of double sided tape. Ensure to place the tape where it cant be seen.

Step Two:

Die cut all the pieces for the pumpkin monster including the stem part from set Festive Harvest – 2080. Ink around all the edges then trim a small piece from the top of the monsters head before adding the stem to the top.

Step Three:

Build the witch as normal using whatever colours you would like then attach the two characters’ to the card front.

Step Four:

Die cut a panel of grass from the slimline adventure edges die set – 1925 then trim it down to a thin strip. Next die cut a border from everyday elements lace borders – 2022. Glue the two together at a slightly crooked angle then fix under and in between the feet of the characters’

Step Five:

Finish off by attaching the stamped sentiment towards the bottom of the card using 3d foam pads.

Well that’s it for today, thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my post. Until next time Happy crafting – Jackie x

Hello Everyone.

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here on the blog today. Today, I am using the little donuts from the Food Truck Accessories die set to make an inspirational card for a friend.

Cut and assemble small donut from the Food Truck Accessories die set (for mine, I used a Glaze pen to make the icing glisten). Cut a rectangle from the Postage Stamp Rectangles die from brown cardstock. Cut an A2 card base from white cardstock. Cut a card layer panel from yellow patterned cardstock (Pretty Pastels) using the Fitted Rectangles die set. Cut “Donut Worry” using the Alphabet, numbers and more die set out of brown cardstock..

Instructions:

Stamp “You’ve got this” in brown ink from the Art Journal Alphabet Stamps. Mark sure to leave space at the top for the diecut sentiment

Adhere “Donut Worry” to the top of your card panel. Substitute your donut diecuts with the letter “O”

Adhere your card panel to the postage stamp layer. Next adhere the card panel to the front of your card base and you card is complete.

Halloween candy wrappers

October 7, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Sylvia today on the blog for you. We are already halfway through October and the fun, yet buzy time is rapidly approaching. In just 2 weeks it’s Halloween, so if you would like some quick candy wrappers, then here’s a simple tutorial for you. Over here in the Netherlands, the kids are starting to like the “trick or treat” part more and more, and although not everyone participates in the Halloween celebration, more families do, so let’s get started!

Step 1: pick some bright coloured cardstock in Halloween colours (black, bright green, bright orange, purple) and cut pieces of 2,5 x 6 3/4 inch (6,5 x 17 cm), score at 3 – 3,5 – 6 1/4 inch (7,7 – 8,8 – 16 cm). Fold every scoreline to form a matchbox that can hold a little bag of candy. (Please adjust given measurements, if your candybag is larger or smaller). From matching Halloween papers, cut a piece of 2 3/8 x 2 5/8 inch (6 x 6,6 cm) and glue that to the front of your wrapper.

Step 2: Decorate the wrapper with spooky diecuts and/quotes, like e.g. ghosts, black cat, cauldron, witch, broomstick, spiders, pumpkins etc. Cut and stamp a label and staple that in the center at the bottom, so that you can slide it underneath your decoration to keep the wrapper closed. If necessary, you could use a small piece of double sided adhesive to keep the candy in place inside the wrapper.

I hope you liked this easy tutorial. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I’d be happy to help you out.

Happy Halloween and happy crafting!

Love
Sylvia

Planner Essentials

Weekend

October 4, 2023

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share you this project with the new special kit from Esther. I had a fun play time with this kit. You can make an easy card with the planner dies.

I started with the base planner dies (Planner Essentials 56) and of course the new paperpad Petal Pink. At the top I adhere the new frame dies. It is a great dies for small pictures or sentiments. But I only made the word ‘weekend’ which came in the set to.

I used the cute clips from the heart overlay dies set to hang on the letters.

In this set there are also small start to put on the stars at the page. You can make them in every colour you want. I choosed pink from the newest paperpad.

I adhere the letters with twine in a half heart shape. At least I added a small tag and some reinforcers. At the back I will adhere some pictures of the Dutch Planner retreat.

I hope you will have a lot of fun with this kit to. Thankyou for visiting and see you soon.

Kind regards,

Lisanne Geerdink

Forever Friends

October 2, 2023

Hello again everyone, Jackie here with todays inspiration. I actually made this card some time ago for a very dear friends birthday, I have used characters from past sets but you could easily use any of Joset’s characters for this design.

Step One:

Start by creating a watercolour background panel using a piece of watercolour paper and loosely paint a blue wash. Next Die cut a leaf shape into a piece of cardstock and once the background is dry use this to stencil two leaves in the centre.

Step Two:

Die cut and ink two more leaves in a different design then fix them on top of the stencilled leaves.

Step Three:

Build the characters adding some inking to the edges, add finer details using a white gel pen. Attach the panel to a top folding A2 card blank using 3d foam pads.

Step Four:

Add the sentiment of your choice then finish off with a few tiny die cut daisies.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you. If you haven’t already got the raccoon and giraffe dies they are still available on the ECD websites. Happy crafting – Jackie x

Magic Halloween

September 29, 2023

Hi It is Els here with a new Blogpost. I love Halloween so I decided to make a Halloween card this time. I hope you will enjoy it and give it a try. I will place the images on my blog!

Finished card.

These are all the part you need.

Cut a piece of black paper at 71/2 – 11 and fold in half, your card is then 5 1/2 – 71/2. The striped paper is 51/4-71/4. The purple is 5-7 and I used the edge die to cut it on both sides. I cut a label out of the paper ( the one with the 2023). Distress the edges, and Ink them. Then glue them on top of each other.

Cut Flowers, leaves, and a spiral roll, then shape the flowers, and glue them together, now you can put some stamen in, and I did some copper cream on it to let them shine.

Place the cute scarecrow, and then you can place the flowers.

When you placed all the flowers, you can adhere that cute little wizard and his broom. He can sit on top of the flowers. Place a pumpkin and some black Mica flakes to finish it. I cut the spiral rolls and when you roll them up you make those roses. On my blog I will place the Images I used and the template for the rose.

Joy tags for Christmas

September 28, 2023

Hi all, Sylvia again here for you on the blog. Time flies, don’t you think? Before you know it, it’s Christmas again and this year I decided to start my Christmas preparations early (also because I have a vacation coming up in November, so less time to prepare). For today I would like to show you how I created some Christmas gift tags, using items from both Joset’s and Annette’s collections, because they combine great! Let’s get started shall we?

step 1: find a piece of coloured cardstock slightly wider than the word Joy. Tape the word die (including the inner circle on the O ) on the bottom edge of your paper and run it through your machine, but NOT all the way!! Make sure the top of the letters are not totally cut and are still attached to the paper. I like to run it through about 75% so that you can just barely see the “v” shape in the centre of the letter Y.

step 2: pick the 3rd largest tag from the nested tags set, slide the bottom part under the letters (so they won’t be cut off) and run it through your machine again. You might wanna handcut a bit in between the letters. Now you have a tag with the word JOY at the bottom edge.

step 3: decorate the tag to your liking with stamps and/or dies. As an example, I made the green tag with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the blue one with Jack Frost. Finish the tag off with a nice piece of ribbon or twine.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask, I’d be happy to help you out. Have fun preparing for Christmas!

Happy crafting!

Sylvia

Soon to arrive:
