Hi there,
It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this Butterfly Art Journal Page:
Step 1: Creating the Background
- apply Embossing Paste through the Waves stencil on a piece of watercolor paper and let this layer dry thoroughly
- add color using pinks from the Watercolor Palette
- ink up the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot and add some splatters with watered-down black acrylic ink

Step 2: Creating the Butterfly
- roll a piece of purple tissue paper for the butterfly’s body
- add little antennas – I used ready-made stamen that you would normally use for flower centers
- cut out two wings from vellum using a die from the Butterfly Pocket Insert set
- color the vellum with a light teal Alcohol Marker
- assemble the butterfly using hot glue
- add a pre-made sentiment
