Good morning! Laura here today to share my newest layout for ECD using the wonderful new floral dies!
To create this layout: Step 1 – Cover 2 12×12 sheet of Soft Finish Cardstock with gesso Step 2 – Use your favorite ECD stencil and texture paste to create random areas for design I like the pattern Stencil pack allow to try or heat set on one sheet of paper Step 3 – Color your background paper and the other sheet with two colors with the water color palette. Set the second sheet aside to die cut flowers and leaves later
Hey Friends! It’s EK, and I figured it is almost July, so why not started on my Christmas Cards. I pulled out a couple of Suzanne’s A Way With Words holiday dies and my Silk Microfine Glitter to play with and figured it was summer so I might as well play with a pink and teal color scheme.
Step One: On a piece Watercolor Paper, randomly paint pink and teal watercolors from the Watercolor Palette. Let dry.
Step Two: Splatter the watercolor paper with a heavy pink and teal watercolor paint. Trim the paper to fit an A2 card frame and using a 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape adhere it to the card frame.
Step Three: Die cut both the A Way With Words Merry Christmas 3 die set and the A Way With Words Flourished Holly die set out of 8.5″x11″- 5 pack Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Step Four: Peel the adhesive tape’s backing and adhere the holly back pieces and the Christmas die cut to the card frame.
Step Five: Using the Earth Glitter Palette Vintage Teal Silk Microfine Glitter, color the die cuts. ECD’s Brushes are perfect to wipe off excess glitter.
Step Six: Repeat step five with the holly berries back piece and the Merry die cut using Silk Microfine Glitter Bright Cranberry.
Step Seven: Finish the layers of Flourished Holly die cut by adding the holly outline over the bottom pieces.
Step Eight: Add Ice Teal from the Earth Glitter Palette to the holly outline.
While these color may not be traditional, I love how festive this holiday card turned out. Let us know in the comments below what non traditional colors you like to use on your holiday projects.

Step 1: Stamping and Coloring
stamp one of the flowers from the Garden Flowers set onto a tag cut from watercolor paper with the help of one of the dies from the Planner Essentials 2 set with Ink on 3 Fadeout Ink for a no-line look
lay down a base coat of color using the watercolor palette
add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
Step 2: Adding more Color
ink up the edges with Distress Ink Dusty Concord
dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Ink Dusty Concord
Step 3: Texture Stamping
stamp Create and a definition from the Journal Words set with Versafine Clair Nocturne

Step 4 – Trim coordinating papers to 2×12, 1×11, .75×11, 6×4.25, 4×6, a photo mat, .25×5, .5×4.25, 1×3.5 and distress all the edges then adhere as shown
Step 5 – Die cut and assemble 5 flowers. I used coordinating papers and white cardstock with florals 7, Florals 9, Florals 8, and Florals 3. I used the watercolor palette on the white flowers after I had assembled them
Good morning! Laura here today to share my next layout I created for ECD! I really like to mix my papers from different collections as long as the color families are the same so for this layout I mixed some papers from the Mystical Winter paper pack, the Rusty Weathered and the Summer Art!
To create this layout: Step 1 – Trim one paper to 11×7 and distress the edges, distress the edges of a 12×12 sheet and cut a ‘V’ into the top right of both papers about 2 1/2 ” from the edge. Cut one more piece of paper large enough to be adhered behind the cut ‘V’ Step 2 – adhere all the papers together and then cover with clear gesso and allow to dry
Step 3 – using watered down paints paint circles randomly in various sizes and also splatter some paint
Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Live in the Moment Wall Hanging.
To create my wall hanging, I’ve used dies from the Paper Flower Collection as well as stamps and dies from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my wall hanging at home.
Step One. Choose two pieces of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. From the first patterned paper, die cut a 3 1/2″ Stitched Indented Rectangle. Die cut a 3″ Stitched Indented Rectangle out of the second patterned paper. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Two. Die cut a 3 1/4″ Fitted Indented Rectangle out of a piece of black cardstock.
Step Three. Die cut the Elegant Ornament out of a piece of black cardstock. Cut the ornament down to 3 1/2″.
Step Four. Die cut a 3/4″ Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Trim the fishtail down to 3″. From the Zen Sentiments stamp, you’ll need the live in the moment sentiment. Apply Detail Black Ink to the stamp and stamp on the right hand side of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Five. From the Florals 5 die, die cut the leaf five times out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and Watercolours, colour the five leaves.
Step Six. From the Florals 5 die, die cut a extra large, three large, three medium and three small flowers out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and Watercolours, colour the ten flowers.
Step Seven. From the Florals 5 die, die cut the centres once out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. You’ll need a total of three centres.
Step Eight. Adhere the 3 1/4″ rectangle to the 3 1/2″ rectangle. Foam square the 3″ rectangle to the 3 1/4″ rectangle.
Step Nine. Adhere the elegant ornament to the left hand side of the 3″ rectangle as desired. Adhere the 3/4″ fishtail 7/8″ from the bottom and 3/4″ from the left of the 3″ rectangle.
Step Ten. Adhere a extra large, large, medium and small flower together. For the other two flowers, adhere a large, medium and small flower together. Adhere a centre to each flower. To finish the flowers, shape the flowers as desired.
Step Eleven. Adhere two leaves at the top left side of the ornament. Adhere two leaves in the bottom right side of the ornament. Adhere the remaining leaf to the middle left side of the ornament.
Step Twelve. Foam square the large flower to the middle left side of the ornament. Adhere the other two flowers as desired around the large flower.
Step Thirteen. To finish the wall hanging, punch two holes at the top of the wall hanging. Tie a piece of black twine through the two holes to create the hanger.

Good morning everyone! I am so excited to share my next layout with you!
To create this layout: Step 1 – Cover your favorite ECD paper with clear gesso and heat set or allow to dry – there are some beautiful papers to choose from here Step 2 – Use your favorite ECD stencil (I used one from the pattern stencil pack) and texture paste randomly on your page. Heat set or allow to thoroughly dry
Step 3 – Randomly stamp on and around where you added texture paste with a an ECD stamp of your choice (I chose the Frosty Patterns stamp) Step 4 – using a coordinating color from the watercolor palette sprinkle watercolor paints over the images then heat set
Step 5 – On photo paper indiscriminately add texture paste and heat set, then paint using at least 2 watercolor paints and heat set till dry Step 6 – Die cut 2 tags from Planner Essentials 7, and 2 elegant ornament (trimming the circle from one)
Step 7 – die cut one mandala Step 8 – die cut, ink and assemble 8 flowers using your favorite ECD dies like Florals 7, Florals 6, Florals 8, Florals 1, and Florals 2 Step 9 – Mat your photo and distress the photo mat edge
Step 10 – assemble as shown adding some art stones, seed beads, the discarded circles from the elegant ornament and paper clay or resin pieces painted with the watercolor paints
Hey Friends! It’s EK and today I am playing around with Joset’s die cut building scene Once Upon A Time die set and some watercolors. I have over the years successfully created with copic markers and die cut built pieces. I have played around with colored pencils, distress inks, and distress oxides with success. Well, today I am breaking out my watercolor palette and seeing if I can be successful once again.
Step One: Die cut the Once Upon A Time die set out of Watercolor paper.
Step Two: Using ECD’s Watercolor Palette, watercolor the die cut pieces.
Step Three: Using liquid adhesive, build the die cut pieces into their images. I used Kids Choice Glue.
Step Four: Using a piece of watercolor paper, create a watercolor background scene that is simple but shows both sky and grass. Let dry. Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Tape adhere the background to an A2 card frame.
Step Five: Adhere the mushroom and clouds to the background.
Step Six: Layer the rest of the die cut pieces into the scene.
Step Seven: Add a sentiment from the Once Upon A Time sentiment stamp set in pale blue ink.
Step Eight: To add more texture to the project, add Transparent Craft Drops onto the butterfly, reeds and flower center.
Step Nine: The card needed even more texture to ground everything, so using watercolor pencils, flick in grass blades in two shades of green.
Step Ten: Activate the grass with a watercolor brush to blend out the flicks.

To create this layout Step 1 – Cover the paper with clear gesso (I used the Worn Wood paper)
Step 2 – Using your favorite ECD stencil add texture paste then color with your watercolors! (I used a stencil from the Summer Journal special)
