Pop it Ups Wednesday with Sandy – Hay There

November 9, 2016

Hi Pop it Ups fans, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. The big Halloween festivities are now past and the decorations are all stored away once again. However, I haven’t put away the Halloween Charms – I’ve used them along with a few other dies from the Pop it Ups collection to celebrate fall. The colors of fall are my favorite so just had to use those pumpkins again. This is a gate-fold with the opening in the center of a 6″ X 6″ card.

Christmas Card Set

November 8, 2016

Hello everyone, Sanna here again today. How many Christmas/Seasonal cards do you send every year? I need quite a big pile for friends and family each year and it has become a tradition to make sure they are all handmade and every single one is different. Quite a challenge, right? Here is a start – a set of four; now I only need 40-something more!

Shimmer Sheetz: Tray Bien!

November 6, 2016

tray-a

By Judi Kauffman

Do you have an old tray that’s in need of a face lift? My project today began with a square oak tray that has already had two previous incarnations. For several years it had a favorite piece of scrapbook paper centered under the glass and before that, a cross stitch sampler.

This third version of the tray is so easy. Simply alter pieces of Shimmer Sheetz with alcohol inks, cut them into strips, and emboss and sand some of the strips. Cut a piece of chipboard to the size of the tray and use Clear Double Sided Tape to hold the Shimmer Sheetz strips in place. Re-assemble the tray per the manufacturer’s instructions. New insert, new look!

This tray is one of several available in a variety of colors and finishes from Sudberry House. It has screws along one side so it’s fast and simple to change whatever is on display – the backing, your artwork, and the glass slide in and out in a matter of seconds. Continue Reading

The temperatures are beginning to drop and it won’t be long before some of us see snow.  Good Morning, this is Selma Stevenson today and I designed a card using the Els van de Burgt Studio 5 Part Pine, Stitched Ovals and Entwined Ovals and a piece of the Through The Lens – Wood Cardstock.  To embellish this scene, Susan’s Garden Notes Small Poinsettia, Whitepine Bough & Pinecone and CountryScapes Critters 1 die sets were used.  For the snowbanks, Karen Burniston’s Outdoor Edges die set plus her Holiday Clear Stamp Set were used.  Here is how the card was created:

Pop it Ups Wednesday with Karen B. – Winter Gift Card Accordion

November 2, 2016

Hello crafters! In a few weeks it will finally be sweater weather here in south Texas and although we don’t get any real snow, it’s fun to create snowy scenes in cards. It’s also fun, and practical, to create interactive cards that double as gift-card holders. The Gift Card Accordion was designed to do exactly that.wintergiftcardaccordion

Party time – Two Cards and a Layout by Riikka Kovasin

November 1, 2016

ecdnov1

Hello again! It’s Riikka here today guesting with some party projects! As I’ve mentioned in my previous posts, most of my step by step tutorials can be used for cards even if I’ve done the steps in a layout. This time I thought to do it the other way around and made a couple of easy but fun cards and then used the same idea in a layout as well. Continue Reading
