Hello to all my crafty friends out there! For us here in Maine spring is still a couple of months away but that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about spring flowers. Today my post for Susan’s Garden Team has Susan’s newly released Garden Notes Fairy – Rose Petal and she is watering a patch of tulips which is from one of her older releases.
Hi everyone,
It’s time for our March Die Cut Design Team Designer Challenge. Our challenge this month is ‘It’s in the Box!’ We are going 3D this month, creating and decorating boxes using any of the 5 new box dies Elizabeth Craft Designs released in January.
For our challenge today we are giving away “a box die of choice” to 3 winners. The winners will get to select which box die they would like to receive from the following: Star Pillow Box, Triangle Treat Box, Lantern Box, Bonbon Box or Pillow Box with Handle.
To enter, simply leave a comment on this blog post below and answer this question: “Which is your favorite box from the January 2017 collection?”
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, March 10 on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
Happy Birthday and a Fun, Easy-to-Make Background
March 6, 2017Hi Everyone. It’s Tina here today showcasing the new Coloring Stamps and matching dies by Krista Schneider. I have a super fun card to share with you as well as a DIY background. Below you will find easy steps to replicate this card.
Often, I don’t have just what I want as a background to go with patterned papers. I will show you an easy way to create your own coordinating paper using the bubble technique. (It’s the paper shown inside the frame.)
Springtime with Riikka
March 5, 2017Hi there again! It’s Riikka here with spring feelings! There’s still snow on the ground here, but the sun is shining more and the ever increasing amount of light really marks the start of springtime! Soon the birds will begin to migrate north and blooms will emerge and… well, it’s a wonderful time of the year!
To celebrate springtime, I made some ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) using green and brown – brown for the earth, soon to be revealed when the snow melts, and and green for the new plants emerging. I also made a layout using the same colors and dies and other supplies, but first let me show you how I made the cards!
Calendar Makeover by Judi Kauffman
My friends love knowing that I will turn their old calendars into something brand new! It’s a January ritual that extends throughout the year. Here it is March and I’m still having fun slicing and dicing the pages…
I cut some of the pages and fold them into envelopes. I cut other pages into small pieces for layering onto card fronts and gift tags! If the paper is heavy enough, I’ll even die cut some sentiments.
When I’m done, I give some of the cards and envelope to the friends who donated the calendars! I get to have the fun of repurposing would have otherwise gone into the recycling bin, they get to enjoy the calendar again in its second incarnation.
Congrats! Double Gatefold Card
March 2, 2017Hi everyone,
It’s Frances here today with a fun tutorial to share with you. I have created a Double Gatefold Card using the ModaScrap Gatefold – Elegant Roses die set. This is a new way to create a Gatefold Card, different from what is shown on the packaging.
