Welcome Friends,
DT Melanie here with you today sharing a really fun card designed completely with Elizabeth Craft Designs’ dies. The Circle Background Die was such fun to work with. This mosaic design feels mesmerizing to me. It is actually really easy to create too! Below are the simple directions so you can make your own.
Step 1:
Use the Circle Background die to die cut the background from 3 different colors of cardstock. (Sample has white, dark purple, and light purple.) Hint… Put Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back of the cardstock prior to die cutting to make things faster and easier.
Step 2:
Cut a side-fold card base from dark purple cardstock measuring 4″ x 10.5″; score and fold.
Step 3:
Adhere the white background die cut piece to the front of the card base.
Step 4:
From all the inside pieces of the die cuts, begin to mix and match the colors and sizes until you like the design. Then attach them into their matching places, like working a puzzle, to form your very own mosaic design.
Step 5:
Using the starburst die from the Entwined Ovals die set, cut 7 dark purple stars. Cut 1 white banner using an appropriately-sized die from the Stitched Fishtails Banners set, and die cut the word Thanks from both dark and light purple cardstock.
Step 6:
Let the Assembly begin… Glue down all of the mosaic pieces in the pattern of your choice. (If you used Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back, simply remove the release sheet and adhere the pieces.) Adhere the dark purple stars to the white circles for some added contrast. Glue down the banner. Adhere the dark and light purple Thanks, slightly offset so the dark purple creates a shadow for the sentiment.
Step 7:
Add one of the Glitter Dots Peel-offs to the center of each star for a little added sparkle.

Love the use of the circles.
fun card.
thanks for sharing.
good choice of colors, who doesn’t like purples! and very cute design. I like the added starbursts. They tone down the white circles nicely.
Very cool pattern & I love the purple too!
Great idea! So pretty and simple to do too!
Hi Melanie, A lovely geometric card, I’m loving the colours and how you have co-ordinated them.
