Back in April, I designed a project that I dubbed ‘Celebration Ribbons’ – three oversized award-style ribbons that said Live, Laugh, and Love. I’m revisiting the concept, but with a more serious purpose. I’ve made this ribbon for a friend who has just had surgery for a bleed deep within her brain. I’m saying an emphatic ‘Live!’ and this time it’s a get well wish, sent with many prayers.
Follow the instructions in the tutorial at the link provided at the end of this post, making the following changes:
**Use Stitched Ovals dies instead of Stitched Circles
**Die cut the word ‘Live’ twice from adhesive-backed craft foam; layer the words, offset to form a shadow.
**Instead of paper tails, use two 7” pieces of sheer satin-edged 1.5” ribbon.
**Instead of metallic braid, use an 8” piece of 1/8” ribbon for the hanging loop.
**Omit the die cut rosebuds (unless you want to keep that part of the previous project).
**After taping ribbon tails and loop in place, back the larger oval with a matching size craft foam oval.
You can find the Celebrations and Award Ribbons tutorial here.

I love these ‘Celebration Ribbons’, and D. S. is going to love hers. The colors are so spring-like. ty.
I love you how you readapted this idea. I am sure it will be cherished.
Thank you, Jean. I hope she will soon look across the room and see it.
