It’s Suzanne here with a sweet way to make a little tag book, filled with love for your Valentine – or make it as a gift for any time just because you love them! Grab your dies and some of your favourite embellishments and let’s play! Here is how you can make this with me.

Back in April, I designed a project that I dubbed ‘Celebration Ribbons’ – three oversized award-style ribbons that said Live, Laugh, and Love. I’m revisiting the concept, but with a more serious purpose. I’ve made this ribbon for a friend who has just had surgery for a bleed deep within her brain. I’m saying an emphatic ‘Live!’ and this time it’s a get well wish, sent with many prayers.
Celebration and Award Ribbons

Our dog was a champion before she retired and came to live with us. Her ribbons were fabulous – a pleated rosette around a big padded circle with gold printing at the top, long tails cascading below. They serve as an inspiration for today’s project: Ribbons to make for friends to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion or give as an award to someone who has triumphed over illness or adversity.
I chose Live, Laugh, and Love – A Way With Words dies that are longtime favorites. ‘Live’ goes to the friend who is five-years cancer-free. ‘Laugh’ goes to the friend who brings smiles no matter what is going on. ‘Love’ goes to my husband.
But you don’t have to choose the same dies or sentiments! It’s very easy to customize this project.
Decide what you want to say and size the circles and fishtail ribbons accordingly. Suzanne Cannon’s A Way With Words collection offers so many options.
Judi Loves Berries: A Strawberry Tutorial
April 3, 2016By Judi Kauffman
Hello, all! It’s Judi Kauffman, back as today’s Guest Designer. I love strawberries, so imagine my glee when I saw the Joset Designs Strawberries die set. It’s irresistible, just like the berries that will soon arrive at the farmers’ markets and make their way to our kitchens. With ice cream, starring in shortcake, chocolate-dipped, sprinkled with powdered sugar, or straight out of the box – this is a fruit that defines summer and happiness!
Fast & Easy Shimmer Sheetz Notepads

I love it when life hands me a win-win. I needed to come up with a small handmade gift on short notice – I’d forgotten a friend’s birthday and had only half an hour before we were scheduled to meet for lunch. And I was also on deadline for my Elizabeth Craft Designs blog project. I took photos of the notepad before wrapping it and headed out the door!
I already had some paper-covered sticky notepad covers made. Add 10 minutes to the project if you are starting from square one (pun intended!).
