Hello everyone Jackie here today. The other day I needed to make a tag at the very last minuet with not much time and that got me thinking, maybe I should make a few tags for my card box that are ready to go and what’s more these would also make great card toppers popped up with foam dots if needed in a hurry.
Stamped Lolly Front:
Stamp out the lollies using black waterproof ink then colour them with water colour paints and set aside to dry.
Die Cut Lolly Front:
Die cut a bunch of lollies, glue them all over then trim off any over hanging bits. Use the trimmed bits to fill any empty areas around the edges then add some gel pen detail.
Attach another die cut tag to the reverse side to add a pop of colour to the back, the message can be written on the back.
Make the Tassels:
Cut a small strip of thin card measuring approximately 2.25″ x 1″ or 6 x 3cm, snip into the strip carefully leaving the top intact creating a fringe. Roll the fringe up using a small paint brush or pencil then unravel and glue a piece of twine to one end. Roll up again gluing in place as you go creating the tassel then fix another tassel to the other end of the twine.
Add your chosen sentiments in any way you like or leave them blank to add when you need them. Here I have added a simple Happy Birthday die cut to one and the other has a black strip of card then a stamped hand cut fishtail banner on top.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to make a few tags for your stash ready to go Happy crafting Jackie x
