Happy Friday! It’s Karen here with a couple of thank you cards. One of my goals for 2017 is to be more grateful. To show that gratitude, I need more thank you cards! I’m a tad-bit circle-obsessed. Yes, it’s a strange thing to be, but what better way to feed my obsession than crafting with circles. Today, I am going to show you a FUN way to use the Circle Background die along with the Tea Time stamps.
Box of Pansies
April 12, 2017Hello out there my crafty friends. It is Christine here from Susan’s Garden Design Team. Today I am posting a card I made featuring Susan’s Garden Notes Pansy die along with her Garden Notes Ivy Vine. The color of the pansies comes from a photo I saw on Facebook last year that I fell in love with and the wooden box is because I love rustic, primitive things.
Smiles Required – Mixed Media Card
by Judi Kauffman
When it comes to mixed media, everything is fair game. Among the tools and supplies I pulled together for today’s card are the ModaScrap Poppies die set, A Way With Words ‘Play’ die, A Way With Stencils ‘Dotty’, Prills in two of my favorite colors, half of a mailing label that originally said ‘SIGNATURE REQUIRED’, a library card from the days before computers, a small metal folder tab, an office supply store label maker, strips of Kraft brown cardstock that were next to the paper trimmer, and a scrap of sequin waste encrusted with paint.
The project began with the strips of cardstock and the library card. Though you may not have precisely the same bits and pieces, as long as you keep in mind the letter ‘H’ or a ladder you’ll be able to make your own version!
I’m going to include what I call ‘Design Strategies’ along with the instructions. This is the ‘why’ part of design; the instructions are the ‘how’ part. Beginners: I hope this is especially useful to you!
(Experienced cardmakers – scroll through the photos and head straight to the supply list.)
Happy Easter Penny Slider
March 13, 2017Hi everyone,
It’s Frances here today with a tutorial for the Coloring Design Team. With Easter only a month away I thought it would be fun to create an Easter Card using the Krista Schneider Woodland Pals stamp set and coordinating dies. There is a cute little rabbit in this set, making it perfect for Easter.
As you can see, I decided to create a Penny Slider card using Joset Designs Sliders and Spinners die set. It is optional as to whether you use pennies or cardboard circles for the spinner mechanism, however the weight of the pennies does make the image spin and slide better. Instead of a coin, substitute a metal washer. (Cover the hole in the washer with cardstock.)
Happiness is a Sweet Kitty
March 10, 2017
Happy Friday! Hope everyone has fun weekend plans! It’s Karen, here with a birthday card that I made for my mom. She is the best mom (for me) and really enjoys the cards I make for her. I used the Purr Clear Stamps and coordinating dies, plus the Twist Circle Pop-Up die set.
Hi everyone,
Congrats! Double Gatefold Card
March 2, 2017Hi everyone,
It’s Frances here today with a fun tutorial to share with you. I have created a Double Gatefold Card using the ModaScrap Gatefold – Elegant Roses die set. This is a new way to create a Gatefold Card, different from what is shown on the packaging.
Dreamy Floral Bouquet
February 2, 2017Hi There!! It’s Elena here today with a beautiful floral card. I am in love with the new flower stamp sets and just had to make a card with a bouquet on it. Maybe it’s all the cold weather lately, but I needed some flowers to cheer me up and make me think of spring so I couldn’t resist combining the stamp sets into one lovely arrangement.
