Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s Shelly with you today to share a pretty, French-inspired Christmas card using a variety Pop it Ups dies. One of the things I love about Pop it Ups is how easy they are to mix and match. One of my favorites is the Lots of Pops dies – there are so many ways you can use it!
How gorgeous is that glittery Eiffel Tower?! I love how well it pairs with the Lots of Pops accessories, and of course, with the Paris Edges die set. While this card might look complicated, it’s actually quite simple. Here’s how I made it:
1. Begin by cutting a 12″ x 5″ piece of cardstock. Crease down the center, then cut the pop up element with the Lots of Pops die. Because I wanted a contrasting paper on the back, I cut another piece of paper to 6″ x 5″ and cut the bottom edge with the Lots of Pops die, aligning the center points with the bottom edge of the cardstock. Trim to fit around the pop-up, then train the folds and adhere the contrasting paper to the top. Cut the top edge using one of the edge dies from the Agatha Edges die set (not shown).
2. Apply Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive to a piece of beige cardstock, leaving the release paper adhered on one side. With the release paper side up, die cut the Eiffel Tower. Remove release paper and cover adhesive with Champagne Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your finger and tap to remove excess. Set aside.
3. Cut the elements for the inside of the card using the dies shown above. The banners and pole are included in the Lots of Pops die set, the fleur de lis border is from the Paris Edges die set, and the flourish is from the Agatha Edges set.
4. Adhere the banner poles to the narrow pop-up ledge on either side of the main pop-up element. Glue the banners to a length of baker’s twine and tie to top of poles. Add red adhesive pearls to the Eiffel Tower as shown and adhere the tower to the main pop-up. Adhere the red flourish to the top of the card as shown, trimming to fit if necessary (I didn’t want the text on the paper to be hidden by the flourish).
5. Create a pocket on the lower half of the card by applying glue to the outer edges of the fleur de lis Paris Edges border, leaving the top edge open, and adhere to card. Cut elements from decorative paper and insert into pocket. Glue lace trim to top. Note – I also added a small fleur de lis cut from glitter paper to the small pop-up as seen above.
6. To complete the card, cut a backing piece from coordinating cardstock measuring 6″ x 5″ and score at 2.5″. Adhere to card, being sure to avoid getting adhesive on the pop-up mechanism. Embellish with ribbon and a length of lace and your card is complete! The completed card is a top fold 5″ x 6″ card that can be mailed in an A7 (5×7) envelope.
I hope my tutorial has inspired you to mix and match your dies in new and interesting ways. Even though this card is a Christmas theme, all you need to do is change out the paper and you can make it work for any occasion – a special birthday, bon voyage, anniversary…the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!

Hello again! Helen here with another Christmas card, this time using the Pop it Ups Rectangle Pull Card, featuring Rudy the Reindeer. I enjoy cutting Karen Burniston’s Character dies from patterned papers, to change things up a bit!
Directions for making the card:
1. Cut some double-sided heavy weight patterned paper to 20cm x 13.5cm (8″ x 5.5″). Fold in half, line up the Rectangle Pull Card die over the fold, and die cut. Use dies from the Rectangle Pull Card and Rectangle Accordion die sets to cut a silver glitter cardstock rectangle and smaller patterned paper rectangle. Cut all the pieces of Rudy the Reindeer, including nose, antlers and hooves from Red and Beige Velvet Adhesive. Cut eight snowflakes from silver glitter cardstock (using dies from the Sleigh Gift Card Holder and Spiral Circle Pull Card sets), and a black ‘Merry Christmas’ from the Merry Christmas Pop Up set. Finally, cut the spinner from the Rectangle Pull Card.
The Rudy the Reindeer die set which I used:
2. Adhere the glitter card stock and patterned paper rectangles to the front of the folded card base. Assemble Rudy the Reindeer as shown below, and stick him on the card front with adhesive foam pads for some extra dimension.
3. Adhere the Rectangle Pull Card spinner in the position shown below, and glue on all the snowflakes also as shown below. Snip the ‘as’ from the ‘Christmas’ die cut, and glue on all the word parts as shown.
And you are done! An easy Christmas card, with a little bit of shimmery snow fall when you open the card!
Hi everyone! Helen here with you today, with a nice and simple Christmas card, featuring Karen Burniston’s beautiful new Merry Christmas Pop Up die set, and Jolly the Mouse. If you like making all your own Christmas cards, September is not a bad time to start!
Here’s what I did:
1. Cut a red piece of cardstock to 14.2cm x 20.2cm, (5.5″ x 8″) and a turquoise piece of patterned paper to 14cm x 20cm. (5.25″ x 7.75″) Fold both in half, and die cut the turquoise piece with the Merry Christmas Pop Up die. Cut 2 strips of red polka dot patterned paper to 3cm x 14cm, and 2cm x 14.2cm. Cut some red Shimmer Sheetz to 2.5cm x 14.2cm. Die cut all the pieces for a Jolly the Mouse, as shown below (though missing from the photo are his glittery tail, and candy cane). Also die cut a Father Christmas hat for Jolly, using dies from the Props 5. Die cut ‘Merry Christmas’ words and the two little swirls from red Shimmer Sheetz. Die cut the four little hearts, and the large swirl from silver glitter card. Use stamps from the Merry and Bright stamp set, as per below.
Here are Karen Burniston’s Pop It Up products which I used:
2. Fold the Merry Christmas pop-up according to the package instructions (or watch Karen’s assembly video) and adhere the turquoise patterned paper inside the red cardstock. Adhere the red words and swirls, and silver glitter pieces. Adhere the folded ‘Happy New Year’ banner with foam pads. Adhere the 3cm x 14cm red polka dot patterned paper to the foot of the card as shown below. Assemble Jolly the Mouse, and his candy cane as shown below, and adhere to the card. Assemble the Father Christmas hat, and also adhere to the card.
3. For the outside of the card, stick on the remaining red polka dot patterned paper, and red Shimmer Sheetz strip, then adhere the two stamped pieces as shown below. Adhere a red gingham bow near the sentiment.
And you are done! I hope you enjoyed my card today, and feel inspired to have a go at making a Christmas card too!
Hello, it’s Karen Burniston here with a fall-themed pop-up card using the Adirondack Chair die set. This versatile chair die can work for year-round cards and this exact card can be easily modified for those other seasons. Just think of the cuteness overload with Chilly the Penguin in a snowy chair scene for Winter, or Lucky the Rabbit with Easter eggs in the grass for Spring.
Here are step-by-step instructions for making the Happy Fall card.
Cut an A2 long card (4.25″ x 11″) from red cardstock and score in the middle for folding. Sponge some brown ink randomly on a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of olive cardstock and add Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive Tape to three sides as shown. Also cut a 4″ x 5.25″ panel of sky blue cardstock and attach it temporarily, with removable tape, to the top panel of the card. Attach the olive panel to the bottom half of the card. Line up the Adirondack Chair over the fold of the card and add the Metal Adaptor Plate under the card to add additional pressure for cutting through two layers of cardstock. Die cut.
Remove the temporary blue panel from the card, snip away the chair parts, and emboss the blue panel with the Clouds embossing folder. (*Note* embossing the blue panel before Step #1 and adhering it on three sides would also have worked, but the embossed surface would have been flattened during the die cutting process. For the fluffiest clouds, emboss after die cutting.) Attach the embossed panel to the card permanently. Also snip away the portion of the ground that overlaps the chair. Fold the chair according to the package instructions or by watching the instructional video at the bottom of this post.
Cut a 4″ x 8″ piece of the same red cardstock to use as a backing card and use the scraps of red to die cut and emboss two chair arms. Add a piece of ribbon across the front of the card before adhering the backing card, trapping the ribbon between the two layers. Inside the card, create an L-support (also called a pole platform) from red cardstock. Fold under a small foot at the base of the pole, slide it through a slat on the chair and attach to the floor as shown. (*NOTE* Watch the video at the end of this post to learn this technique)
Die cut and assemble Dutch the Fox and secure him to the pole platform. Complete the interior decoration by using the All Seasons Tree die, cut from a dark brown, and the various leaves that come included in the die set cut from a variety of fall colors. Die cut the letters for Happy Fall using the Alphabet Caps die and add them over a 1″ x 4.25″ strip of kraft cardstock.
Keep the card front very simple by adding an olive piece of cardstock, 1.5″ x 4″, and another tree with falling leaves. Tie the ribbon into a bow. (*NOTE* the ribbon bow will add bulk to the card, which may require extra postage. If this is a concern, substitute a flat ribbon or washi tape or eliminate the ribbon entirely.)

Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. I’d like to show you how to make an easy masculine anniversary card with a colorful background. Let’s get started!
Cut vanilla card stock base at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4.
Cut Soft Finish card stock at 3 1/8 x 4 3/8.
Cut white card stock and Transparent Double Sided Adhesive at 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the white card stock, remove release sheet and cover with Silver Silk Microfine Glitter, brush off excess and polish with your finger. Here’s a video where Els shows how to apply Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Die cut the following pieces shown in the photo below:
Flourish Gift Frame – dark brown
Happy Anniversary – dark brown
(2) boots from Props 6 – dark brown (use a white gel pen for stitches if desired)
(2) small stars from Props 6 – small scrap of white card stock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive already applied then cover with Silver Silk Microfine Glitter
Western Edges – horses & barbed wire light brown (sponge horses with brown ink if desired)
Gift Card Accordion – stitched label – white (not shown)
5. Stamp sentiment from Homegrown Greetings using dark brown ink onto the stitched label cut in step 4
6. Swipe desired colors of ink directly to the Soft Finish Card Stock, use a sponge to blend colors slightly so they overlap. Using a spray bottle filled with water, spray directly onto your hand then flick the water onto the cardstock. Let dry or use a heat tool.
7. Assemble all layers together using the photos for placement.

Hi, it’s Karen Burniston with the September Pop it Ups Designer Challenge. Each month I challenge my Designer Challenge team to use Pop it Ups dies for a specific theme. This month the theme is to interpret the word “Celebrate!” for any holiday, any theme. As a twist to the challenge I also asked them to incorporate frames and/or Frame Edges into their projects. We’re also excited to welcome Sandy Diller to the team officially. Sandy has been joining the challenges most months as a guest designer and I am thrilled to introduce her as the newest member of the Designer Challenge Team.
For my card and video I wanted to do a simple assembly video for two of my new Fall Release dies shipping at the end of October 2015 to independent craft stores worldwide. Why do we show the dies so early? In this case it was because we wanted the retailers last week at The Collins Rep Group Retailer Training Event to have the opportunity to try the dies and place orders. Retailers who did not attend the show can also get their orders in now, so mention it to your local store if you’re interested.
This is the newest Accordion die in the Pop it Ups line – the Gift Card Accordion. The Accordion page cuts slots to hold a standard size gift card perfectly. This die is going to be perfect for any occasion to give gift cards, but also for cards without gift cards, especially by incorporating the new Flourish Gift Frame companion die that includes rectangles to fit the album and cover the tuck slots. My card is a birthday card using colors pulled from the gift card I was using.

The video mentions a tip for flipping the first page over if you’d rather have the decorative score lines on the front of the album. As it turned out, I ended up cutting patterned paper frames for the front and the back instead.
The video shows how to use the small stitched rectangle that comes included with the Gift Card Accordion to make a long stitched rectangle to span the entire page. The video also shows a cute idea for shrinking the “a gift for you” die using shrink plastic to make it a charm. I used the new Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish cardstock for the majority of the album and accented with patterned paper.

Tent Cards:
Back in July Frances Byrne posted a tutorial on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for using Accordion Albums as a base for a tent card. That idea sparked many variations by the team and they’ve been making amazing tent cards ever since.
Frances Byrne starts things off with a tent card where she used a modification by Karen Aicken for leaving the center of the Oval Accordion attached, rather than removed with an item swinging in the middle. This adorable baby card features a glittered Snowball the Sheep and the Oval Dots Frame Edges. She also incorporated a Quietfire word die, Peel-off Stickers and the Els van de Burgt Studio “it’s a Girl” die.
Donna Wright took the tent card idea and turned it on its side and added more pleats across the bottom to make this amazing diorama tent card using the new Flourish Gift Frame, Holiday House, Outdoor Edges and Evergreen Pivot card trees. This card got a lot of attention on Facebook this week – so gorgeous!
Shelly Hickox combined the original tent card tutorial with the extra pleats idea and made this spooky Halloween version, using the Oval Accordion and Oval Flourish Frame Edges. The patterned paper was fussy cut to create all the imagery – love it!
Gift Card Accordions:
The team received their dies just last week, so the projects they were able to churn out in such a short amount of time are amazing! Bookmark these ideas for when the dies are available.
Sandy Diller made this absolutely fabulous 3-page Gift Card Accordion using the companion Flourish Gift Frame and three Characters – Chilly, Rudy and Jolly. She also used Props 5 (Santa Hat), the lights from the Holiday House, and the present from the Evergreen Pivot Card.
Summer Hills-Painter also created a 3-page Gift Card Accordion, this one to celebrate a new home. She used a Home Depot gift card and decorated with the House Pivot Card’s house, All Seasons Tree, and the apples from the new Props 7 woven basket die set. What a lovely gift for a new homeowner!
Shelly Hickox keeps the 3-page Gift Card Accordion trend going with this lovely Christmas album. Notice that her album does not feature a gift card. By using the companion Flourish Gift Frame set, the rectangle dies can be used to cover the tuck slots and turn the die into a standard Accordion suitable for any theme.
Fran Sabad created a 2-page Gift Card Accordion with Flourish Gift Frame and the Sleigh used flat on the first page. How lively are these Christmas colors? I love the use of navy and red together!
Kelly Booth used the Gift Card Accordion for a 2-page gift for a bride. She styled the new Lucky the Rabbit Character die as a bride and gave her a bouquet and a cute heart-shaped nose. I love the use of the Quietfire word die along the top of the album.
Caz Counsell also made a 2-page Gift Card Accordion and also used Lucky the Rabbit but in completely different colors for a completely different look. Caz got clever with the new Props 7 woven basket die, turning it upside-down and decorating as a cake.
Accordions with Frame Edges:
Because the challenge included the use of Frames and Frame Edges, many of the team chose to make Accordion albums.
Summer Hills-Painter mixed all three styles of portrait albums for this fun black and white congratulations card. She used Brownie the Cow and the Farm Greetings Clear Stamps, plus the Flourish Frame Edges for both the Katie and the Oval.
Karen Aicken celebrates Family with this stunning 6-page Circle Accordion featuring the Square w/Circle Frame Edges (check out the rivets using glitter dots!) and her hand drawn lettering to spell out Family. Gorgeous!
Helen Cryer has twin nieces who just turned 2. She made them each a very special accordion birthday card. First up is Hattie’s card, featuring the Katie Label Accordion and Katie Stars Frame Edges. She used the new Lucky the Rabbit, Whiskers the Cat and Hoppy the Frog, plus Props 2 and the Happy Birthday die. Hattie’s name is the Elizabeth Craft Designs Alphabet Caps die. What fun colors for a little girl’s card!
Helen Cryer made Viv’s card very different from Hattie’s but equally gorgeous. She used the Circle Accordion with the flourish Frame Edge and the candles from the Gift Card Accordion and Celebrate from the Flourish Gift Frame. So soft and pretty!
Kelly Booth made this aloha birthday card using the Oval Accordion, Oval Clouds Frame Edges, Props 2 and the Happy Birthday die. What a cool idea to use the Props 2 birthday hat on a stamped image!
Raquel Mason took advantage of the baby-themed peel-off stickers designed by Joset van de Burgt to fit the Star and Circle Accordions. Raquel’s mixed accordion features Frame Edges and glittered/colored peel-offs. She made it for a co-worker.
Frances Byrne made an open center accordion using the Katie Label Accordion plus Katie Stars Frame Edges. Poppy the Owl, wearing Props 2 hat, perches on either end of the album, checking out the glittered peel-off presents inside. I just love this color scheme!
Fran Sabad made a shaker page out of the Rectangle Accordion and used dark Katie Stars Frame Edges to keep with the spooky look. Her coloring on the little vampire stamp is amazing!
Raquel Mason made a very special card for her son’s 9th birthday. She used the Fancy Label Accordion with the Star Fancy Frame Edges and Buster the Dog and Whiskers the Cat. I love the idea of using just the head of the cat on the center page to leave room for the greeting.
Karen Aicken combined the Ring Accordion with Ring Frame Edges 1, Jolly the Mouse and the Merry & Bright Clear Stamps for this fun 3-page Christmas album. Such an excellent color combination on this card!
Caz Counsell also used Jolly the Mouse on her accordion – this one using the Circle Accordion and dots Frame Edges. Check out her little swiss cheese banner! Squee! So cute!

Here are some unique projects using Frame Edges without their companion Accordion albums.
Karen Aicken shows brilliantly how well Frame Edges work as flat frames. She combined the solid and dots Square w/Circle Frame Edges to make a dynamic front to a peek-a-boo card.
Donna Wright made a fun easel card using a Stand up Helper die and the pieces of the Ring Accordion plus Ring Frame Edges 1. She embellished her easel card with Whiskers the Cat and the Happy Birthday dies. Notice Donna’s signature mini clothespin. Love that little touch she always puts on her cards.
Sandy Diller used the new Christmas Trees Pop Stand die to make this lovely card and use the Ring Frame Edges 1 as her tree skirt. She also used the Square w/Circle Frame Edges on the front of the card. Just gorgeous!
Kelly Booth used the Ring Frame Edges 1 on this Spiral Circle Pull Card to frame her greeting. What a simple touch but so effective. I like her floating balloons on the spiral.
Sandy Diller finishes the challenge with a stunning explosion box with suspended Oval Flourish Frame Edges plus floating Christmas Trees inside. WOW! She also posted a full tutorial for how she created it, so definitely click over to her blog to see it.

I’m Kelly Booth and today I have a fun Happy Birthday card using Cheepers the Chicken and the Happy Birthday Pop It Ups die by Karen Burniston. I also wanted to give you a little peek of a die set just released this weekend at the Collins Group Show!
Here is my Card Front:
It’s so fun to dress Cheepers up like a cowboy!
Here is the inside of the card:
This fun card is suitable for either a male or female.
Instructions:
Cut two pieces of cardstock; one red and one kraft at 5″x11 and score in the center at 5″1/2″. Place the Happy Birthday Pop Up Die in the center of the kraft piece and run through your die cutting machine. Gently press the folds to form the pop up by following the package instructions. Place pieces of Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive on the back side of the kraft piece making sure you stay away from the areas that pop up. Remove backing from the pieces and adhere inside the red backing card one side at a time. Trim edges down if needed.
Use either patterned paper or stamp a pattern on a piece of ECD Smooth Finish cardstock 4.25″ x 5″ and cut the Boots, Scarf, and Happy Birthday Wording. (set aside) Cut the Shadow for Cheepers from a scrap of black cardstock. Cut one banner and one stitched label from the Lorna Label set. Cut one speech bubble from the Rectangle Accordion set all from Smooth Finish White Cardstock. (set aside)
Place Double Sided Adhesive on a piece of red card stock 4 1/2″ x 5″ Cut the Happy Birthday Pop up making sure you get the shadowed area and the bottom strip under the step. Cut out the Happy Birthday shadow area and the bottom step strip. (set aside)
Place a Piece of ECD Double Sided Adhesive onto a piece of the Smooth Finish Cardstock and Cut Cheepers’ body and the eyes. Using a scrap of red backed with Double Sided Adhesive, cut the waddle and the tail feathers, using a scrap of orange backed with ECD Double Sided Adhesive cut the Beak. (set aside)
Take a scrap piece of card stock and put ECD DSA onto it. Remove the backing and burnish in some Solar Gold Silk Microfine Glitter, polish well and shake off the excess. With this piece cut one Sheriff’s Badge (Props 6 coming soon) and small stars from the Happy Birthday Pop it Ups set. Set aside.
For the last cut take a strip of Kraft card stock 5″ x 2 1/2″ place ECD Double Sided adhesive on the back and cut the ground for the front using the Outdoor edges wavy ground die. Place this on the bottom of the front of the card.
Assemble Cheepers by adhering the detail layer to the shadow layer. Place the eyes in the eye holes then remove the backing and add the red waddle and the tail feathers. Next add the orange beak and the scarf. Using a pop dot or foam tape place Cheepers’ hat onto his head tilting it slightly. Use foam tape on the back of Cheepers and place him on the front of the card leaving room to add his boots under his body. Use foam tape with the boots.
To finish the front stamp or computer generate a sentiment for the speech bubble and place to the right of his head onto the card. Add red glitter dots to the hat as a band and one on the scarf and one on each boot. Make a little lasso out of twine and with a little bit of liquid adhesive add it to Cheepers’ right shoulder. Place the Sheriff’s gold badge onto the center of the scarf and add a red glitter dot in the center.
Finishing the inside of the card is pretty easy. Remove the backing from the red shadowed Happy Birthday and place over the kraft card, do the same with the red strip below the step. Place little bits of liquid adhesive on the backside of the patterned Happy Birthday and place on to the shadowed area. Add a drop of liquid adhesive on each gold star and place over the shadowed stars. Stamp or computer generate a sentiment on the banner and add it to the red strip just below Happy Birthday. Add the stitched label towards the bottom of the card for a greeting.

Hello everyone, I’m Donna Wright and so pleased to be here again with a Wednesday tutorial. My card this time is an easel card made using the accordion rectangle die. This card is a 6″ x 6″ card when folded flat.
First, to make the frame, die cut a page with the Rectangle Accordion die from a piece of patterned cream cardstock and snip out the centre and the tabs on the outside, leaving just a rectangular frame.
Next, make the easel card. Fold a piece of patterned 12 x 6 cardstock in half, then open it up and fold one half in half again. Place the card with the quarter fold in place on your cutting sandwich base. I used a piece of washi tape to keep the decorator rectangle die from the Rectangle Accordion set in place while I ran it through the cutting machine. I placed the side of the die just past the fold to ensure that it would cut all the way through the fold.
After die cutting, unfold the card and you will now have a hole in the front piece of your card which is double the size of the rectangle die you just used. Run a line of glue or the 3mm ECD adhesive tape around the outside half of the hole and stick your cream frame in place. (*NOTE* No adhesive should be used around the other half of the hole – the large frame needs to be able to stand up when the card is displayed)
To help the easel card stand up I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Stand up Helper die. I placed the die about a quarter of the way up the base of the patterned 12×6 cardstock.
To decorate I added the All Seasons Tree and Poppy the Owl. I also used the decorator Happy Birthday script dies plus one of the Ring Frame Edge dies suspended across the opening as bunting.
Operate the card by lifting the top half of the card, folding into a tent shape and securing behind the Stand Up Helper tab.
I also added tiny clothespins and a Katie Label for a place to write a personal greeting. Using the Accordion dies as frames for Easel Cards is a great way to get more variety from your die sets.
Hello friends – Karen Aicken here with a fall themed Spiral Circle Pull Card. While I am in no way happy that summer is almost past, I did enjoy creating this card. It’s no secret that I love the Spiral Circle Pull Card – especially those notches that hold the card in the closed position. The recipient simply pulls the sides to open the card which reveals the surprise inside.
When this card is opened the leaves appear to be ‘flying off’ the bare tree, thanks to the spiral that comes with the Spiral Circle Pull Card.
Let’s get started making the card. Cut the patterned paper 7-1/2 x 5-1/2″and score at 3-3/4″. Lay the Spiral Circle Pull Card die on the score line, with the circle portion on the left and the notches on the right. Use the alignment nubs for easy placement on the fold. Run it through your die cut machine then fold as shown.
2. Now cut the rest of your pieces:
Die cut one All Seasons Tree from brown card stock
Die cut spiral from a 3″ square of beige card stock and snip the end so the spiral comes away from the outer square. We will be using the spiral portion only.
Die cut 3 circles from beige card stock, using the circle Accessory die that comes with the Spiral Circle Pull Card.
Die cut one small circle from beige card stock, using the smallest circle Accessory die from Accordion Circle.
Die cut 18 leaves (two at a time) from patterned paper. Alternativly you can use cream card stock and add colour with markers, PanPastels or inks. Highlight the centre vein with a marker on each of the leaves.
Die cut the letters to spell AUTUMN from patterned paper, using the Alpha Caps – 1.
Die cut the ‘hello’ from the Rectangle Pull Card, from a 2 x 1″ piece of black card stock. TIP: apply ECD Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the back of the black card stock before die cutting.
3. Ink the edges of one beige circle and adhere to the front of the card. Adhere the letters and hello as shown. Trace inside the letters with a fine point brown pen if desired. Adhere the smallest circle and two of the leaves to the top left of the card adding foam tape under one of the leaves.
4. Adhere the remaining two circles inside the card as shown, then adhere the tree on the right side avoiding the notches.
5. To attach the spiral inside the card, put strong adhesive on the open end of the spiral, and attach it to the right beige circle as shown. Then add strong adhesive to the opposite side of the spiral end and close the card. That will attach it so it remains hidden when the card is closed, but spirals open as the card is opened. Let dry. NOTE: often for Spiral Circle Pull Cards, you would attach the open end to the left and the widest end to the right. For this card though, I wanted the leaves to appear to be flying off the tree so attaching it this way made the most sense.
6. Adhere the leaves to the spiral and the circles as desired, using foam tape under some of them for dimension. TIP: Place one or two leaves on the end of the spiral that is attached over the tree branch to hide the end.

Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. I want to show you how easy it is to make a smaller sized Z-Fold card. The recipient will be surprised when they open the card to see the colorful butterflies pop out. Let’s get started!
1. Cut white card stock at 4″ x 12″ and score at 4″ and 8″. Place Butterfly Pivot die on the 8″ score line and die cut.
2. Cut (2) pieces of white card stock at 1 7/8″. Adhere both pieces to the back of the card, behind the butterfly opening. Tip: this step is not required, adding card stock will just make the base more sturdy. See bottom photo for placement.
3. From scrap turquoise card stock, die cut the Butterfly Pivot and cut excess off so you only have the butterflies. Adhere butterflies to base card.
4. From pattern paper, die cut several butterflies using the companion dies included in the Butterfly Pivot card and Butterfly Accessories die.
Place the filigree butterfly die onto desired card stock and emboss using your embossing sandwich. Doing this adds beautiful texture and interest to the butterflies.
Adhere one small butterfly to the center fold of the Butterfly Pivot.
Placing adhesive only on the bodies of the butterflies will allow the wings to have more dimension.
Add Glitter Dots to the bodies of the butterflies for a little bit of bling without added weight or bulkiness.
5. Apply “Thinking of You” peel off to the top left corner of card.

How gorgeous is that glittery Eiffel Tower?! I love how well it pairs with the Lots of Pops accessories, and of course, with the Paris Edges die set. While this card might look complicated, it’s actually quite simple. Here’s how I made it:
1. Begin by cutting a 12″ x 5″ piece of cardstock. Crease down the center, then cut the pop up element with the Lots of Pops die. Because I wanted a contrasting paper on the back, I cut another piece of paper to 6″ x 5″ and cut the bottom edge with the Lots of Pops die, aligning the center points with the bottom edge of the cardstock. Trim to fit around the pop-up, then train the folds and adhere the contrasting paper to the top. Cut the top edge using one of the edge dies from the Agatha Edges die set (not shown).
2. Apply Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive to a piece of beige cardstock, leaving the release paper adhered on one side. With the release paper side up, die cut the Eiffel Tower. Remove release paper and cover adhesive with Champagne Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your finger and tap to remove excess. Set aside.
3. Cut the elements for the inside of the card using the dies shown above. The banners and pole are included in the Lots of Pops die set, the fleur de lis border is from the Paris Edges die set, and the flourish is from the Agatha Edges set.
4. Adhere the banner poles to the narrow pop-up ledge on either side of the main pop-up element. Glue the banners to a length of baker’s twine and tie to top of poles. Add red adhesive pearls to the Eiffel Tower as shown and adhere the tower to the main pop-up. Adhere the red flourish to the top of the card as shown, trimming to fit if necessary (I didn’t want the text on the paper to be hidden by the flourish).
6. To complete the card, cut a backing piece from coordinating cardstock measuring 6″ x 5″ and score at 2.5″. Adhere to card, being sure to avoid getting adhesive on the pop-up mechanism. Embellish with ribbon and a length of lace and your card is complete! The completed card is a top fold 5″ x 6″ card that can be mailed in an A7 (5×7) envelope.
I hope my tutorial has inspired you to mix and match your dies in new and interesting ways. Even though this card is a Christmas theme, all you need to do is change out the paper and you can make it work for any occasion – a special birthday, bon voyage, anniversary…the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
