Hi Everyone! It’s Katelyn here, sharing my first post as a design team member for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us and why not create something special for that special someone in your life. Today I’ve created a cute Love You Note Pocket using the new Scalloped Hearts, Stitched Fishtail Banners, Love Sentiments and Rose Pocket dies.
Let me show you how you can re-create my Love You Note Pocket:
1. Using the Entwined Hearts die, cut the small heart die three times from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Festive Berries Distress Ink over six of the hearts.
2. Use the Fitted Hearts die and cut the smallest heart from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Festive Berries Distress Ink over the heart.
3. Using the Scalloped Hearts dies, cut the 4″ and 2″ scalloped hearts from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink over each scalloped heart.
4. Using the Scalloped Hearts die, cut the 3″ scalloped heart from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the scalloped heart.
5. Use the Stitched Fishtail Banners die to die cut the 3/4″ banner from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the banner.
6. Using the Love Sentiments die, cut the words “love” and “you” from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Festive Berries Distress Ink over each word.
7. Die cut the Rose Pocket Die from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Festive Berries Distress Ink over the entire pocket.
8. Die cut two of the smallest Stitched circles from pink double dot patterned paper.
9. Cut two pieces of pink double dot patterned paper that measure 4 3/8″ x 6″ and 4 3/8″ x 6 3/4″. Using a blending tool, ink the edges of the paper using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
10. Adhere the 4 3/8″ x 6″ piece of pink double dot patterned paper to the back of the pocket, making sure the dot side faces to the back.
11. Adhere the small pink scalloped heart to the medium red scalloped heart. Adhere the medium red scalloped heart to the large pink scalloped heart. Adhere the large pink scalloped heart to the middle front of the rose pocket.
12. Adhere the Stitched Fishtail Banner 1/4″ from the bottom of the small pink scalloped heart.
13. To finish the banner, adhere the “love you” sentiment and two small hearts.
14. To decorate the 4 3/8″ x 6 3/4″ pink double dot patterned paper, adhere one of the stitched circles to the top middle of the paper. Adhere the second stitched circle to the back of the already adhered stitched circle. Use a foam square to adhere the fitted heart to the middle of the stitched circle. Adhere a small heart to the middle of the stitched heart. Adhere three small hearts in the bottom right hand corner, overlapping as shown.
15. Add Glossy Accents to the “Love You”sentiment, the two hearts on the banner and the middle heart in the stitched circle. Once the Glossy Accents dry, add your love note to the pink double dot paper and slide it into the pocket.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own Love You Note Pocket.
