Pop It Ups Wednesday With Raquel – Chilly the Penquin

November 23, 2016

Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. Slider cards are fun to watch and this card is no exception as Chilly the Penguin slides around the card. I got the idea to use an Accordion die as the tracks for the slider when I was watching a Technique Friday video that Els did on a totally different technique. There’s inspiration everywhere! You can use any Accordion die for this technique, here’s a slider card using the Ring Accordion. Let me show you how I made this card.

Pop it Ups Wednesday with Sandy – Hay There

November 9, 2016

Hi Pop it Ups fans, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. The big Halloween festivities are now past and the decorations are all stored away once again. However, I haven’t put away the Halloween Charms – I’ve used them along with a few other dies from the Pop it Ups collection to celebrate fall. The colors of fall are my favorite so just had to use those pumpkins again. This is a gate-fold with the opening in the center of a 6″ X 6″ card.

Pop it Ups Wednesday with Karen B. – Winter Gift Card Accordion

November 2, 2016

Hello crafters! In a few weeks it will finally be sweater weather here in south Texas and although we don’t get any real snow, it’s fun to create snowy scenes in cards. It’s also fun, and practical, to create interactive cards that double as gift-card holders. The Gift Card Accordion was designed to do exactly that.wintergiftcardaccordion

Pop it Ups Wednesday With Sandy – Happy Halloween

October 26, 2016

Hi, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. We are at the end of October already but I think there is still time for one more Halloween Card. I kept this card simple, yet fun, with some flying bats and a spooky graveyard. I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card for the base and then added some great elements from Karen Burniston’s Halloween Collection.

Hedge Over Heels for You –

October 14, 2016

Hi everyone, it’s Sandy Diller here today with a “fun pun” anniversary card for you. I have been wanting to use this great Hedgehog die from Joset Designs for awhile but was having trouble with a theme. I have to give my friend Susie credit for this one. As soon as I heard it – the idea was born. I looked up hedgehogs on the Internet and found that they are shades of brown and shades of gray so gave you one of each on this card. I kept the front of the card simple because the fun is on the inside. The finished size of this card is 5″ X 7″.

Very Batty Halloween Card

October 11, 2016

Card Front

Hello! Mary here to share a fun bat-filled Halloween card! When I saw the new Circle Background die, I thought of making a moon background with lots of bats flying in front, easy to do thanks to Karen’s Bats Stage it Stencil. Midnight the Bat is featured, wishing you “Spooky Halloween Greetings.” (Didn’t know bats could talk, did ya?) Continue Reading

Pop It Ups Wednesday With Frances – The Great Pumpkin

October 5, 2016

greatpumpkin1wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances here, and it’s my turn to post a Pop it Ups Wednesday tutorial today. With Halloween only being about 3 1/2 weeks away I thought I would create a Halloween card.

When Karen Burniston first shared the Anita Frame Pop Up with the Design Team, I mentioned that I could see a face. Well, ever since then I have been wanting to play with the die to create a face. The inside of the card is supposed to be a pumpkin with the face carved like they do for Halloween, sitting in some grass. If you can’t see a pumpkin, well I am sure you can see a monster which still works for Halloween … so either way! This idea might also work to create a Santa face for Christmas, Frankenstein or even an Owl!
